Millionaire suite

Put it simply, we really enjoyed our stay at the Millionaire Suite and it is a case of when (not if) we will come back. My wife and I stayed at the apartment Thursday to Sunday. The apartment is located in Old Riga opposite a pretty cathedral and a short taxi ride from the airport. The apartment is above a really nice bar that does tasty food and has a good vibe. Check in was really easy and honestly it looks even better than the listing pictures. It's really big and could fit another bedroom in there if they wanted it. The apartment has underfloor heating throughout and was lovely and warm. The bathroom was huge with free standing bath and separate shower. There's also a washing machine and dish washer if you need it. The apartment is minutes away from some really nice bars and restaurants. We didn't get a taxi during our stay (other than when going to a shooting range) as everything is really close by - even in a snowstorm we managed to walk home. The host was very communicative and thankfully let us keep our bags in the apartment beyond our check out time as our flight left quite late in the day. Yes, you will hear the bar below the apartment until late at night so perhaps if you have a young child the apartment may not be got you but if you're a group of friends or couple who like us may be out for drinks too then you won't notice and the size, location and vibe of the apartment totally outweighs the noise concerns. We can't wait to visit again in the summer and will definitely stay at Millionaire Suite.

The lack of kitchen sink is odd but just means the apartment has even more of a party vibe. The bar downstairs can be loud but honestly just go down for a drink - there's nice cocktails and food plus you get discount from staying at the suite.

Great apartments, very conveniently located. The kids were happy with the rocking chair. Recommend.

It is SO spacious! The decor is great and it was a pleasure spending time there. The central heating system is excellent and although it was below freezing temperatures outside, you would never imagine it in this apartment. Staff responded to all queries promptly and we had no issues whilst staying here.

Overall we were so disappointed. The location is fantastic and on first look the apartment seems amazing, but the service was so bad we would never recommend.

on arriving at the property myself and my partner were extremely happy with, what on first glance, looked to be an amazing apartment right in the centre of RIGA old town. However, we soon found several issues detailed further in this review but the main issue was the realisation that we weren’t the only people accessing, or who had access, to the apartment. When we returned, on more than one occasion, we soon realised things weren’t left where they were when we left earlier on the day. The main confirmation of this was when we returned and the windows were wide open - now we visited in January 2023 in -12 temperatures so we knew it wasn’t us who left them open, not to mention it doesn’t take a genius to know leaving windows open in those climates can cause majors issues to plumping and heating, and of course that’s exactly what happened. Whoever had been in snooping around the apartment left windows, situated directly above radiators, open causing the radiators to burst leading to boiling hot water spurting out and flooding the main room. Obviously we immediately tried contacting the apartment on the three different numbers they gave (none of which were in service or had a location of RIGA). After sending message after message on the booking.com app they eventually responding 40 minutes later saying they would send their “technical guy”. WE had to isolate the radiator ourselves and mop up scorching water from the room with the ONLY 4 towels we were given for the full stay. Eventually come man came up, let himself in with his own key so god only knows how many other people had keys if he, and others had already accessed the property when we were out. He didn’t speak a word of English and attempted to “fix” the pipe. This was all in the early hours of the morning. Eventually my partner asked him to leave as he was making the flood worse. We immediately put towels around the pipe and barricaded the door petrified people were going to come back in. LUCKY WE DID!
