Well appointed bathroom and kitchen, warm. Very convenient central location.

The apartment was very dirty. Kitchen and bathroom appliances had been well cleaned, but little else. Thick dust on the furniture, lamps, etc. Dirt on the sides and floor of the shower, as well as the lower part of the toilet. The sofa and armchairs stained and worn, the curtains were very dirty, also broken. (These were replaced.) Half of the bed linen was stained. (New bed linen was bought but the old was left where it was.) The carpet in the spare room was coated in cat hairs and thick with dust. Personal items had been left (there were sanitary pads and used toothbrushes in one of the kitchen drawers). The small laundry room was dusty, grimy and full of garbage. Following my request for further cleaning, the owner arranged for a cleaner two days later, but she had no key - or prior knowledge of the apartment. As I could not stay to let her out, we agreed to her returning, with a key, the following day. Instead of which I received an angry message from the landlady saying this was "unacceptable". Communication was difficult, to say the least.
