The owner is lovely. The location is perfect

The toilet was too small

The location is amazing. It's right on a pedestrian street with lots of cafes and bars. It feels alive on an evening and calm during the day. The balcony is nice for sitting out and enjoying the ambience. It's also close to buses and the metro for getting around the city. The air-conditioning was definitely helpful as the apartment seems to retain heat even on a cooler day. The owner is friendly and accommodating. I was unable to get Kazakh Tenge in the UK and the airport ATMs only gave out 20,000 at a time. So the owner said she could come back later when we had the money. Generally it's a nice little apartment. If you're 1-2 people going for a short stay, this is perfect!

During the week was fine but on a weekend the street below was quite noisy late into the night. It was mostly clean but felt like it could use a deep clean. The bed is ok for a night or two but the springs started getting really uncomfortable after that. There's no oven and not a lot of pots and pans to make food. There wasn't much toilet paper. The washing machine stained a white shirt orange. I think there was some dirty water sat in the machine, which may not the owners fault but worth other people knowing so they don't ruin their clothes. The couch wasn't very comfy.

The location, the apartment itself and the host, everything is what any first time visitor to Almaty could wish for. The property is right on Panfilova pedestrian zone, the epicenter of charming Almaty historic core, 100m from the Opera, surrounded by cafes and restaurants of different flavors. The property is small, but cozy, very clean, with charming interior design and air conditioned - ideal for a small family or a couple. All the amenities present. The host was probably the best part - what a good human being, is all I will say. I searched and studied other variants in the neighborhood - I am sure this is the best price-quality deal. PS photos are 1000% true, so I didn’t even take any for this review

If I really need to write something, it would be the closest basic convenience stores are a bit further away from the restaurants, on Nazarbayeva street, but hell, we are talking about a 5-7min relaxed walk under the green Almaty canopy :)) also the building is old soviet precast type, with a chaotic staircase, BUT ALL HOMES IN ALMATY CENTER ARE THE SAME :)))) so again, 10/10 :))

Excellent location lots of restaurants and cafe down the building. Near to everything. Almaly metro is just below the building. Owner is very responsive and kind. Highly recommended. Very good price. Compared to the small hotel rooms that are way more expensive.

Room on 3rd floor with no lift but it was okay as even some hotels are the same. It is not very high anyway. And for the price we cannot complain we are very happy we stayed at this place.

Everything was perfect. Excellent location, comfortable and clean room, shower and bathroom. The host is a nice and constructive person.
