Aurora Apartment Zadar

The location is awesome. There's a huge balcony with great, clear sunset sea view looking right and some trees in front of the ocean straight out. Plenty of space, nice beds and most stuff you'll need in the kitchen, including dishwasher, microwave and a small capsule coffee machine. Checking in and out was easy (key box). The host is very responsive and helped us out with some specific requests. Parking is available (at least if you're patient, it's a busy one at times). Shower and bathroom is fine. Air condition is excellent (one in each bedroom). Great internet connection.

There are some quirks, like the kitchen windows are high up (you'll have to stand up to look out), they were also rather dirty. Overall it was clean, but some areas had been overlooked. Probably varies depending on cleaning service, we'll chalk it down to bad luck perhaps. Bed linnen were a bit mismatched, but Dino delivered new ones on request. The balcony, while very nice, doesn't have very "enjoyable" furniture. The elevator and entrance hall are on the shabby side (we used the stairs more than the elevator) - but this is typical for the region, just don't expect a hotel entrance. The furniture and kitchenware is dated, but functional. There's a lack of places / hooks to hang anything from clothes to towels. We got used to everything pretty quick, but it lacks a bit in detail, so to speak.

Das Apartment ist toll und liegt super in der Altstadt, mit einem schönen Balkon und Blick aufs Meer. Der Vermieter hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben, alles war prima.

Allerdings ist das Gebäude selbst sehr alt und heruntergekommen. Bei unserer Ankunft stand das Treppenhaus unter Wasser, was wohl auch an den gesprungenen Fenstern im Haus liegt. Dennoch ist das Apartment selbst innen neu und schön!

We had a very pleasant stay at this apartment, and its biggest advantage is definitely the location. It is situated right in the Old Town, very close to the Roman Forum and the waterfront, which makes it easy to enjoy the atmosphere of Zadar and have all the main attractions within walking distance. A lovely bonus was the kitchen window facing south, allowing us to enjoy beautiful sunsets without leaving the apartment. We visited Zadar in May 2026, and during that time the area was quiet — we didn’t experience the crowds or noise that can occur in this location during peak tourist season. This made our stay especially comfortable and relaxing. Overall, I would recommend this apartment, particularly for families looking for a convenient and well-located place to stay.

Everything was good overall. One small suggestion would be to provide single duvets instead of a double one. As a family traveling with children, it was sometimes difficult to share one duvet comfortably.

Locatie was uitstekend. Volop zicht op de zee en eilanden vanaf het balkon en op het forum vanuit de keuken.

Die Lage ist top. Schöne geräumige Wohnung. Alles da, was man braucht. Sehr netter Kontakt zum Vermieter, absolut empfehlenswert. Zadar ist wunderbar.
