The staff were friendly and helpful, doing all they could to make our stay enjoyable plus the kitchen made great juices at a good price. The hotel food was also very reasonably priced. The breakfasts were big with quite a lot of variety. The apartment was mostly quiet, but was still not too far from the main road, with a good supermarket in easy walking distance. The plants out the front are very welcoming and homely. The rooms were quite comfortable and the apartment quite spacious. The beds all have mosquito nets and the rooms are very light. The floors were very clean and it was great they provided soap and toothpaste. There is a great undercover area near the restaurant with comfortable sofas and tables which is a lovely place to sit with friends in the afternoons or evenings.

The biggest issue was the ad on Booking.com as it didn't match what we were actually given/what was available so needs some serious revision. For example, I had booked the apartment, but the price on the app was apparently for a single room, so they had booked me into that instead. But I showed them the booking details and they thankfully honoured the original booking. The next day I had to ask to change rooms to be given air conditioning as one of the apartments doesn't have any, but also doesn't have any fans, which was hard given that it was so hot. Although the ad says there is a fully equipped kitchen, there is nothing in it except a kettle and fridge, and you have to ask for them to bring anything else you might want and if you want gas for the stove, then you don't get the breakfasts that you paid for in the booking, it's one or the other, which wasn't made clear. Also, the ad says there is a washing machine, which is true, but you cannot use it - you pay for the staff to wash your clothes in it and you pay by the item. Perhaps the apartments aren't used very often, but we couldn't get any of the three televisions to work, and the rooms weren't very clean - there was dust and dirt on the couch and the kitchen had quite a lot of dead bugs and dust, plus mould in the fridge.

The rooms were large and beds were pretty comfortable.

We booked here specifically because the listing explicitly includes having a washing machine. It verbatim said so, and we needed laundry post safari. But when we got there, it was only a paid laundry service and cost $30 to wash clothes. They weren’t understanding or trying to rectify at all. Their payment policy also says prepayment, but they said they didn’t charge our card yet. Tried calling Booking, but the wifi was so bad that I couldn’t get a call through. It’s about 20 minutes by tuktuk into Arusha, and even though it looks close to the airport on the map it’s a 20-30 minute drive. There’s a thousand places to stay in Arusha for the same price or less, this one isn’t worth it.

Hygiene, food, privacy, friendly staff , will very likely go back to stay Internet reliable and good value
