Family house next to train and close to Amsterdam and Schiphol

The house is quite spacious and has 3 rooms, depending on your needs. It is within walking distance from Muziekwijk station. You can take the Sprinter train to Almere Centrum station for your shopping needs OR you could take it to Amsterdam Central station as well. The owner was helpful and came down within the day itself when we informed him that one of the lights was out and that the TV remote battery was out too.

The issue with the heating of the whole house itself. Although the owner mentioned it was set to 22 and must set the temperature of the heaters to "5", it doesn't seem to work. Fortunately only the shower heating still works. Hopefully the owner rectify this issue for future guests.

Double bed was actually 2 single mattress very uncomfortable for a couple. The bathroom Matt was wet on arrival made me feel as if it wasn't clean or just left after the previous guests had checked out.The disused fridge in the kitchen stunk and the kitchen was infested with flies, although I thought this may have been due to the hot weather.

We loved the location and how helpful the host was when we needed something. The grocery store, park and train were very close and assessable. The outdoor seating area was perfect for a summer night relaxing as a family. There was so much space and easy for little kids to stay there. It was close enough to get to the city easily but far enough to enjoy greenery of nature and a slower, more relaxing pace on the days you need a break from site seeing.

The appliances didnt have great connections. The refrigerator cut in and out while we were there. Thankfully, the host bought another and had it in the house so we could use the new one instead. The other appliances cut in and out of working but the host came immediately to check them, found the problem and fixed it. The beds and pillows were too soft they hurt my back. The couch cushions needed to be cleaned. There were not many restaurants in the area. There wasn’t an air conditioning, which was mostly ok if we kept the windows opened, but there were no screens on them. We woke up with mosquito bites every morning. There were many spiders in the house.

It was a very great stay in the house. You have everything that you need in the house and it was very comfy.

It only has 1 bathroom that has a shower so we have to share between 6 people and it was 30 minutes trainride from Amsterdam Centraal (but the house itself was just 2-3 minutes distance from Almere Muziekwijk so it was fine) so we need to spend a bit more on train tickets.
