Stagford Retreat Apartment - Taupo

The property was easy to find and secure. The view of the mountain was good and loved the bird song. All basic needs were covered with tea coffee facilities to cooking utensils and bathroom necessities. Once we’d figured the heating out the property warmed up nicely. Beds were comfortable and plenty of plug sockets. Lighting was good.

Only one of the bathroom doors lock worked (the one from the single beds side doesn’t stay down) and the sliding doors bang a little when shutting and can disturb the persons on the other side. Couldn’t find any coasters for drinks and was worried about staining furniture. Also 3 people staying but only 2 trays so 1 of us had to sit at the breakfast bench for dinner.

We have just finished a world tour and have stayed in many countries and different types of accommodation. This was probably the best self-catering place for 2 people we stayed in. Very comfortable, spotless, very well designed and obviously everthing thought about carefully. Excellent equipment - especially the dishwasher! Very quiet and peaceful. Able to see the stars at night as no light pollution. Very easy drive from Taupo.

It was located in a nice quiet area as we wanted. It is beautifully presented and built at high standards. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was provided in the kitchen and overall. We enjoyed our time.

Everything met our expectations.

Nicely appointed. Love the Ecoya products.

Probably a few more kitchen utensils - peeler, strainer, bbq utensils and bbq cleaning brush.
