Classic Old Town Bilbao

The apartment is very well located with a range of great local restaurants and bars nearby. All the major tourist sights are within easy walking distance and there is plenty of public transport if you prefer not to walk. Despite being so central it is lovely and quiet once inside. The service provided by the management team was also outstanding!

As other reviewers have noted, the apartment is showing some signs of age. Having said that, it remains comfortable and was well stocked with everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. The location and outstanding service we received absolutely made up for what is really a minor observation.

Right in the heart of the old town. A real buzz. The house was well set out and access to it was well managed. We were delayed arriving but it was easy to communicate that. Comfy beds too.

This isn’t a complaint - we wanted to be in the heart of the old town and it was in a great spot. With that comes quite a bit of evening noise - that said, the noise stopped abruptly at about midnight.

The location & the main double bed. The communication from 'Jen' was excellent & she was very helpful.

There are many small things not right: No hand towel in the kitchen. Kitchen sink way too deep & very difficult to use & I'm only 1.8m tall. Also high level cupboards almost touch your face when standing at the sink. There is no dish drainer for when you wash up. Cooker extractor too low. Almost impossible for me to stand normally & use the cooker. Cupboards were full of other peoples old provisions but maybe some people appreciate not needing to buy oil, salt & other things. The kitchen in general is ergonomically very bad. The cooking knives were old & were not sharp enough. The shower in the main bedroom had mold showing, There is clearly a water leaking issue. The shower head needed cleaning / unblocking so that water can flow out of each hole properly. The apartment is very dark but this wasn't an actual problem.

Photo’s look more fancy, everything is a bit old and ready for renewal (old bathroom with mold, stains on sofa and little bench next to the bed etc. )Since we were out all day and only slept there we didn’t too much. Check in via a very unpersonal online system, since something went wrong in the online system (we were 2 guests instead of 3, which we had already informed the property about in advance) we had a lot of trouble reaching someone by phone. For this amount of money you can definitely book a very nice and more luxury hotel.
