Amalfi Blu Retreat

Modern apartment with everything you need, conveniently located next to a bus stop which is a ten minute drive to the main town. Staff were friendly, left clear instructions for check in and offered many recommendations of things to do whilst in Amalfi.voews were also breathtaking with a rooftop terrace.

The coffee machine power cord does not fit into the power socket, I had to use a universal power travel adapter as the default prongs were too thick to fit into the wall sockets. Even though the prongs were standard European ones, it needs thinner European prongs to fit the walls in the accommodation.

The ridicoulous number of whatsapp messages I recieved from the host. We did not see the host in real life, he runs the whole property via WhatsApp, so it seems. He started sending messages before arrival and kept on going during our stay. ‘How will you arrive?’ ‘Please send a message when you’re at the harbour’. ‘This is where you can take the bus’ ‘Please send a message when you’re at the gate’ ‘Are you in the room?’ Etc etc. It kept on going. Message after message… Some messages (for example the location of certain bus stops) were sent 3 times. Pretty soon into our holiday, I asked my wife if she could take over some of the WhatApp conversation with the host. A bit of burden sharing. The constant flow of messages was highly likely well-intended, but had a serious negative impact on our holiday. The host has no interest in, or knowlegde about hiking in the area.

It is clean, modern and exceptionally well serviced. It has all of the amenities you may require. In a great position and very close to the bus stop or stairs if you prefer to walk to town.

The facility was very clean, Gennero was extremely helpful. The room veiw is heavenly. Excellent location. I would definitely recommend it 10/10.

The views from the property are incredible. At first we were disappointed that we could not see the ocean from our room, the moon room. The pictures led us to believe that we had a terrace from the room, but instead we had a reserved area on the main roof deck, and our own private secret garden terrace. We ended up loving the private garden terrace for our morning coffee and night caps. We sat on the roof top during the day for the panoramic views and to sunbathe. The best of both worlds.

The only TV was in the bedroom. We prefer to have that in the living room. The small living room turned into a staging area for us to get ready to go out for the day, since it didn’t have a view or a television. The bed, which also became our place to relax and watch a movie after a day of sight seeing, was too hard for our backs, but would be perfect for those who like a firm mattress. The kitchen is really not suited to cooking, more just to heat up a pot of something or maybe a grilled cheese. The microwave/oven is too high for those of us who are not 6ft tall. But since there are so many restaurant choices in town, why would you cook.

Newly developed property with great amenities - what a wonderful view of Amalfi from the balcony! Very friendly owners, close to a local grocery store and a bus route if you do not want to walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and will return!
