Amalfi Blu Retreat

Really comfy, had everything you needed, superb views, and an amazing host Maurico- couldn’t have been more helpful!

It’s quite far out, but easy bus routes and the walk down to the centre was easy although a little scary on the narrow roads!

The view from the large balcony was amazing. Plus the owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was recently renovated.

Honestly one of the most warm charming experiences I’ve ever had. The villa was amazing, in a great location near the bus stop to take you to town, and the host is so friendly and accommodating. If I’m ever in Amalfi again I’d stay here again.

My husband and I had mixed feelings about our stay at Amalfi Blu Retreat. What drew us to this property was the stunning view of the coast, and that definitely did not disappoint. However, although it is a 10 minute drive to Amalfi square, we were unaware of the lack of transportation and accessibility. A taxi from the square to the accommodation cost 50 euros each way, which left us with the option of taking the bus (crowded and unreliable, although the bus stops right outside) or walking (which was not do-able for us with over 700 stairs down/up). We ended up taking the bus most times, however the buses stopped operating at 11:30pm which was a bummer - until we finally found out that there was a little shuttle that operated from 11:30pm until 1:30am. The upside for us was the service we received from the staff at Amalfi Blu Retreat, they were easy to reach via WhatsApp and helpful whenever needed. We had an issue with our original room and they were able to upgrade us to another suite, which we really appreciated and improved our experience.

We stayed in the Amalfi Blu resort for 5 nights in August 2024. The location is spectacular with stunning views of the Amalfi coast. There was off street parking available to us and the bus service ran from right outside the door. Our host, Gennaro, could not have been more accommodating. Would definitely go back

Maurizio was so very kind and helpful. He gave us a great deal of information and helped us find many local attractions! I fully recommend this location!

This property was in a quiet/peaceful location and had an amazing view with a balcony. The rooms is very modern. There was a beautiful beach nearby which was walkable. The host had lots of snacks and drinks available which was replenished everyday. The room was very clean and we had room service everyday at a time that was convenient to us.

The air conditioner worked only part of the time and the balcony door would not fully close so we had to put a bag in front of it to keep it shut. The toilet lid kept falling off and fell on my daughters foot at one point. We had to sleep the last two nights with the balcony door open to let cool in air because the air conditioner would not work but it was still so hot. The bed and pillows were also not comfortable. For the price I would expect everything to be in working order. The room is in a beautiful location but we had such difficulty getting there. I know this is not the owner's fault but I wish we had better direction ahead of time. The buses are crowded and drive recklessly with little room for luggage so it is better to take a boat to get there. We put two adults on the reservation and did not think it mattered if we brought our 6 year old child as I am used to paying by the room as is typically done in the US. We submitted her passport at their request when we checked in. However, we were informed on the LAST day by the owner that he would not have initially rented our room to us if he knew we had another person in the room. While this was my fault for not adding my child to the reservation and I am grateful that the owner let us stay, It was confusing as there was plenty of space for her as there were 2 beds in our room (regular bed and couch with pullout bed).
