Don Genaro Apartments

The location was great; beautiful scenery. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Love the layout and design of the rooms and property

Nous avons visité Don Genaro fin octobre 2025. Nous avons loué le "château" du site. Les chambres; Percival et Camelot situé versant ouest offrent la vue pour les couchés de soleil. Les 2 chambres communiquent par les cuisines extérieures et offrent une vue imprenable sur la végétation luxuriante et sur les montagnes aux loin. Une terrasse sur le toit permet même de profiter d'une vue 360 degrés et des étoiles en soirée. Une brise y est presque toujours constante. Les chambres climatisées étaient propres et relativement confortables. Toutes 2 munies d'un lit king. La plus grande des deux chambres à aussi un lit simple mais elle nécessiterait un nouveau matelas du lit principal pour un plus grand confort. Le personnel était à l'écoute de nos besoins et la communication était facile, nous avons pu obtenir des oreillers et linges à vaisselle supplémentaires à notre demande. Les chambres sont sécurisées à l'aide de systèmes d'alarme et le site est entouré de clôture avec grille à ouverture électrique. Un espace de stationnement est situé en bas du domaine. J'ai beaucoup apprécié la tranquillité de l'endroit comme le site est situé en retrait de l'agitation de la ville une voiture est nécessaire selon moi pour profiter pleinement des possibilités de l'île. La location est possible à même le Don Genaro. J'ai adoré l'endroit, le personnel et les installations. Étant plongeurs, nous avons grandement apprécié l'endroit prévu pour rincer et faire sécher l'équipement. La possibilité de louer des tanks de plongée à même le site était un must (via Dive Central). Les piscines (2) étaient propres et bien entretenues. Des chemins de petits cailloux ou de pavés nous permettent l'accès aux différents endroits du Don Genaro. Le terrain n'étant pas plat pourrait causer des difficultés au personne à mobilité réduite comme plusieurs paliers et marches sont présents sur le site.

We really loved the garden of this accomodation, with all its beautiful trees and animals. Outside living here is a wonderful experience. Our kids were very happy with the pool. Don Genaro is a quiet, peaceful place to experience the other side of Curacao.

Exceptionally welcoming and helpful hosts, beautiful apartment of exactly the right size and very tastefully arranged. Great location, minutes away from beaches and attractions. The premises with beautiful garden and pools available at all times. Quiet and isolation from neighbors.

The bed is rather bulky.

Rented the Moringa apartment for 13 nights which has lots of space for two people. Unit was very clean. Bed was quite comfortable but pillows were pretty awful and should be replaced. Garden was gorgeous and peaceful and offers a lot of privacy. Neighborhood is mostly quiet, but for the guard dogs on the property and next door. Location was great to access our preferred Sabana Westpunt beaches and some decent restaurants. Well equipped kitchen was only missing a good knife or two.

Common areas like the pools need attention: broken tiles are one thing but both pools need a good scrub and definitely don’t feel that clean, despite the amount of chlorine in the big pool. They say you get starter amounts of basics like coffee and toilet paper which we know is very common but we’re surprised to not have any garbage bags and about 3 days worth of hand soap in the bathroom and dish soap in the kitchen. We have rented apartments all of the world and have never had this issue (alternatively, our current apartment on another part of Curacao provides full soaps in the kitchen and bathroom for our 5-night stay). They ask you to change the garbage every two days but there were no garbage bags in the unit. Thankfully, some extra were provided when requested so we didn’t have to buy a pack of bags etc - garbages were also not changed with the once cleaning provided half way through our stay.

This was our first trip to Curacao. We were lucky to choose this excellent location, in the countryside, not far from the beautiful beaches in the northern side of Curacao. The apartment has a nice outdoor kitchen equiped with a fridge, cooffee maker, toaster and even a barbecue area( didn't use it this time, we plan to come back) The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is big and has a nice shower. As improvement for our appartment i would suggest blinders to the bedroom windows. Beautiful vegetation, a lot of birds and even a couple of turtles. We planned the trip in a very short time so we did not have the time to verify for renting a car with Don Genaro, we used our usual provider for the online service and also to accumulate the points. We understood Don Genaro has competitive rates for rent a car, next time we will check with them in advance. There are 2 pools on the premises, we did not use them but the area is beautiful. Christopher showed us a place where the divers can clean and hang the diving material. The hosts are very attentive, they provided us with a lot of information regarding the beaches, booking activities and they help you with what you need. Excellent service!

Doesn't have anything to do with the Don Genaro but good to know in the month of december in Curacao the moskitos are really very active. Also it is countryside, and for the light sleepers some nights your sleep can be disturbed by the neighbor's barking dogs.

Staff were very helpful, the rooms and the grounds were lovely. A very relaxing experience and a great location for exploring the island.

The bed was a little creaky when rolling over at night.
