Emahroo Cullen

Loved the location of Emharoo - slap bang in the centre of Cullen. The rooms were spacious & the beds (& pillows!) were really, really comfortable. Lovely little kitchen for preparing / cooking food too. Lovely little enclosed, shared, garden too, which is lovely to have.

I think the property would benefit from having a couple of dining chairs (even just fold up chairs), as it was difficult to get everyone around the small dining table with just the bench & window seat. Disliked the fact that the heating was set to a max of 18° during the day & 20° in the evening. I understand why hosts would want to set a max temperature, however in my opinion, the max temperatures set are too low, especially for this time of year (Feb, when it's quite chilly in the north east of Scotland). We spent most of one of our days in the apartment & we were cold.

Beautiful clean welcoming home, excellent location and it felt so homely. Host communicated quickly, lots of information on arrival.

Another fantastic weekend at Emahroo! Despite some cold and wet weather this visit, the flat was really warm and cosy and we all very much enjoyed the real log fire - especially the dog. The flat is a five minute walk from the beach, and only a stones throw from some great eating establishments (Rockpool cafe, Linda's chippy, Spice House, The Ice Cream Shop) so we did very little cooking, which made it all the more relaxing. Already planning a return visit.

We can't fault Emahroo or the host.

The property is very comfortable, cosy and clean and the decor was great. A lovely find and a great stay for the few days we were there. The property had all the amenities we needed (and more) - suitable for groups of friends, families or a couple. It felt very much like a home from home.

Very little, to nothing. The property is on a very busy core route for commuters and traffic heading both ways along the coast so there were some larger lorries travelling earlier in the morning on their journeys. But not an issue for those who are heavy sleepers or use ear plugs. The property has a bedroom room at the front and one at the back. The property is very quiet otherwise.

Central location in a traditional property with peaceful side entrance off the main street and good parking. A clean, beautiful, spacious and tastefully decorated flat with well equipped kitchen, lovely living room, bathroom and really comfy beds! Personal touches from host who was quick to reply to messages and help in any way. This is a very special place!
