Emahroo Cullen

It’s got everything you need for a short break, comfortable beds, open fire, great shower,location is fantastic for beach and coastal walks. Milk was supplied and lovely Scottie dog shortbread. A small secure garden for the dog, bowls and towels for the dog. Ice cream shop across the road with fabulous flavours, prices seemed different each time you go in though! I’ve been to the chippy which was excellent, this time we tried Portknockie fish and chips, very nice. The Cullen Skink soup at the Royal Oak Hotel is delicious! And dog friendly.

There’s nothing I didn’t like, really enjoy coming to Emahroo, 2nd visit and hopefully will be back again. Could do with a poker for the fire.

Lovely house, well equiped, good location. Host very helpful. Good value for money. Our 2nd stay here and would come again.

House is quite cold although host did turn up the heating when asked. Would be good to control the temperature yourself. Duvets a bit thin for winter. Road quite noisy early in the morning.

Very well situated in cullen .places to eat a d visit right on the doorstep .The upper flat was beautifully put together .everything was so clean .A big bonus was ,dog friendly .super recommended.

perfect apartment in a perfect location

This was our fourth stay at Emahroo, and as ever, it was fantastic! It's become a total home from home for us. We are a family of four - including a teenager and our dog - and we all absolutely love our stays here! So much so, that before we head home we always begin checking availability to see when we can come back. The flat itself is immaculate. It's warm, the beds are super comfortable, and it has everything you could possibly need. The location is ideal, as it's a short walk to the most beautiful beach, and there are amazing places to eat and drink within a stones throw. The real log fire is a total joy after long wintry walks along the beach. Kirsten - the owner - has always been really helpful, and is very responsive to any queries we've had.

Cleanliness of accommodation:- dirty cutlery in cutlery drawer, webs hanging from ceiling, book shelf in lounge not clean, toaster full of old crumbs. The bread knife handle was broken with a dangerously sharp piece of wood on it. I had taken my 86yr old mother here for her birthday but was disappointed. Not a big issue but no milk ( as stated there would be) on our arrival for a cuppa. I appreciate the owners don’t always stay local and cannot check these things but this accommodation was just not up to the standard we usually have on our stays in Cullen. Hopefully I have given some constructive feedback which you might want to look at. ( I have pictures if needed)
