Positives: Firstly, the location is truly excellent, putting us right in the heart of Aveiro and making it very easy to explore the city on foot. The apartment itself is modern, clean, and very well-equipped, providing all the amenities we needed for our stay. We also want to note that the landlord was very kind and welcoming upon our arrival and during our communication.

Things to Note: There were a few significant drawbacks regarding noise and parking that future guests should be aware of. The walls throughout the apartment are very thin, meaning we could distinctly hear our next-door neighbours' conversations, and even the sounds of light switches being flipped and doors closing. On one particularly disruptive night, it appeared neighbours were heading out late and returned around 2 AM, continuing to be very loud with their talking and laughter, which unfortunately severely impacted our sleep. This was particularly frustrating as our welcome pack specifically requested guests to be considerate and keep things quiet after 10 PM. Furthermore, the doors/windows leading to the Juliet balconies do not close properly or seal well, creating noticeable gaps. This meant that external noise, particularly from people outside late at night (which was especially bad on another night, with singing and general revelry), was very audible and disturbed our sleep. Regarding parking, we encountered a concerning situation in the designated 'free parking' area. We were approached by an 'arrumador' (an informal parking attendant) asking for money to 'look after' our car. This made us feel very uneasy, and given we had a brand new hired car we felt pressured to comply or risk potential issues. For the safety and peace of mind of ourselves and our rental vehicle, we ultimately chose to move the car. We ended up parking in a residential area, despite being advised against it by the landlord, as we felt it was the safest option given the circumstances. This specific experience was a source of unexpected stress.

Location was great and the owner, who greeted us could not have been more helpful or more welcoming. The apartment was just round the corner from the older part of town with shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Gondola trips were equally close by. Apartment is very modern, very clean. It was on the ground floor so no lifts or stairs. Once the keys were handed over, access was via a code entered outside the building as well as to the apartment itself.

The location, 3 min to the small downtown Aveiro, the landlord couple, which was very nice and helpful and had given very good tips for day trips and restaurants. The connection to nearby beaches.

The bed was a little small for two people. The room a bit clairaudient when people walked by or came into the apartments and the price a bit high.

A memorable stay in a beautiful, modern apartment near to the old town square - Aveiro is a beautiful place and we spent two nights here in comfort as part of our road trip - excellent welcome from the owner too - highly recommended 😀

It was ground floor looking out onto the street - the only improvement would be a view of the river - but this did not detract as we were out and about most of the time anyway
