Review for Villa Nona – ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) We stayed at Villa Nona in July and, unfortunately, had a very upsetting experience. Before arrival, we contacted the host to ask if we could leave our luggage before check-in. We never received a reply. Upon arrival in the morning, a cleaning lady kindly allowed us to leave our luggage and reminded us that check-in is at 15:00. We returned at the stated time, found the door to our apartment open, and our suitcase placed inside. We settled in, had some rest and food, and later went out again. In the evening, our children (12 and 16) returned to the apartment while we stayed on the promenade. After 22:00, we received a panicked call from them: the owner had entered the room without notice, shouting, demanding they pack and leave immediately. He was throwing our belongings, and when the kids explained they were minors, they called us right away. We ran back within minutes and encountered the same aggressive behavior. Eventually, the owner realized we had been given the wrong room. Another family had been left waiting outside while we unknowingly occupied their room. We had to quickly pack, and they changed the sheets while we stood by. That was the last we saw of the host — no apology, no explanation. Sadly, this situation ruined what could have been a pleasant stay. The cleaning lady was kind, but the management was completely unacceptable.

The apartment is basic but nice and roomy. Beds are comfortable. Location is close to center of old Cavtat. Best part is the large, lovely terrace, which makes the apartment feel much bigger, because it's like an ekstra living room. The terrace is facing the road, but the trees and greenery makes it feel private. See photos. Theres is a lovely smell of fig trees in the terrace. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

It's a rather steep walk up to the apartment, so it's not suitable for elderly or people with mobility issues. I have arthritis in one knee but the walk up was not a problem for me, I just walked slowly. I actually think it was good exercise for me, but I can see it being a problem for some. The apartment could use an electric kettle, but there are pots you can use to boil water. The refrigerator is a bit strange, sometimes it freezes things. These are minor disadvantages.

Location was great with amazing balcony and sea view
