Casa Eden - Modern Peaceful Jungle Apartments

The place is nicely designed, has privacy and is surrounded by nature! The property feels new and we had a water dispenser in the kitchen too!

you have to drive through a dirt road leading to the property so make sure you have the right car to do so

The appartment is located of what seems like in the middle of the jungle. We'd get woken up by monkeys and birds in the morning. Truly special! The kitchen is very well equipped. Overall the appartment is very modern. In the beginning we had trouble with the water and an awkward smell in the bathroom which got immediately fixed by the friendly owner. We had no car so we walked each day to the beach which was no hustle whatsoever. It's just a 10 to 15 minute walk.

Feels very secluded, but very close to the supermarket and several beaches. We rented bikes and getting to town took only 15 minutes, which was great exercise and nice to get a feel for the place. Comfy bed, great deck, functional kitchen.

The internet didn't work half the time we were home, which was inconvenient since we planned on having access to it and therefore didn't get a local phone plan with data. There were a couple power outage but that was nice and romantic with the provided candles. The jungle is a place for loud animals and touristic locations that are growing in popularity generally have some construction going on nearby so if you rent a place anywhere and don't have AC and a fully enclosed space it's a good idea to bring earplugs with you. And tick pliers, we couldn't find them here.

Beautiful location, hearing the howler monkeys in the morning is so special - be aware the apartments are in the jungle a little back from the beach / road, and the road to them is in quite a poor condition. It is best to have a hire car here! They also do have bikes to hire, but as the road does not have much lighting you would only want to use these in daylight. It's easy to get tuktuks from town, for around $4/5. Get the number of a driver you like and they will collect you from the apartments!The outdoor shower was lovely. Kitchen had the essentials to make a meal. Lior is brilliant and helpful. Even though there is no Aircon, the rooms didn't get TOO hot - but they were warm! Aircon would be a massive advantage to this place. Overall, we loved our stay and would visit again.

No hot water in kitchen which made washing dishes awkward, and a second mirror (the only one is in the bathroom) would make getting ready so much easier. Beds are comfy but two pillows per person would be great.

The apartment is very modern, has a good style and it’s right in nature, wonderful terrace! The walk to the beach is about 20 minutes - wouldn’t wanna do it alone though after 5.30 when it’s dark.

I am aware that this is difficult to avoid in such a region but the apartment was super damp all the time and smelled mouldy. Therefore we didn’t feel too comfortable. The kitchen appliances were not clean upon arrival, generally not the cleanest apartment I would say.
