When you come by car, then this is a nice location to stay. It is located in Blonay at an elevated location with a nice view over the Geneva lake. There is free parking. The room is quiet and clean. There is a fully equipped kitchen available. The hosts were very nice helping with lots of tips on what to visit. Also they provided me a Montreux Region card which I used to get half price access to Château Chillon and the "Le Lac" House designed by Le Corbusier.

There are a couple of steps to go, so if you have heavy luggage, you will need to lift it a bit. I had some food with me and deposited it in a bag on the floor. In the morning I wondered about the many ants. So if you have food with you, maybe it is a good idea to deposit it on the table. The night was a bit cold and I wondered how to turn on the heating in the bathroom as the knob did not seem to work properly. In the morning the heater was kind of half-warm but the bathroom was still a bit cold.
