Brand new Bairro Alto old style apartment

The Cockroaches! Dirty Apartment! Apartment is NOT 'Brand New'. It was renovated over 8 years ago! It has been poorly maintained! Damp and Mould in bathroom! Electrical sockets hanging off wall. Dirt and Broken Glass under kitchen presses. Used contact lenses scattered around apartment, even on the bed. Special request was initially approved- then agent/host refused to provide it on our arrival. Very poor Customer Service from Agent/Host. We waited 20 hours for a response from Agent after informing her of the Cockroach sightings. After one sleepless night we left the apartment. The Host refused to accept there was a serious problem. The Host offered us NO support or alternative accommodation or an apology (They have other properties in Lisbon). We were left with nowhere to sleep on Christmas night or the rest of our trip! This caused us massive Stress! We were forced to seek alternative last minute accommodation at huge expense to us. We have only been refunded 19% of our outlay on this apartment and None of this was from the Host. The alternative last minute accommodation cost us thousands of euro. Lisbon is beautiful but our experience with this apartment was a total Nightmare!

More space than a hotel. Had washer/dryer. Comfortable and able to spread out a bit.

Cool neighborhood but a bit of a walk to shops and restaurants. Air conditioner in bedroom made noise. Instructions were to turn it off at night.

AC, water pressure in the shower, location.

Very dirty when we moved in; cleaner didn’t arrive until after we moved in to clean after the previous tenant; we found a condom behind the bed (after the cleaner has left-see photo); floors are sticky (after being washed); door handle in the bathroom is completely broken.

I loved the flat in general, the comfy bed and the lively but also quiet neighbourhood. The preparing communication was great.

Unfortunately the space wasn't clean and the communication with the staff nice, but not reliable.

Amazing location and super cute space. Remodeled unit in old building. Great water pressure. Great kitchen. We were very comfortable here!

The handle on the door between the kitchen and bathroom came off, so we had to keep the door closed and use the one between bedroom and bathroom, which had a loud squeak. We had some trouble getting in touch with the management company, but once we did, they were very responsive. We would stay here again!
