Haytor Court, Haytor, Dartmoor - The Moor on Your Doorstep

Excellent location for walking and a couple of very nice pubs nearby. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. Great views.

Lovely location on the border of the Dartmor Nature Reserve, saw the Dartmor horses too. Good position if wanting to explore Devon and Cornwall and nice and spacious accommodation.

Surrounding garden/outdoor area could be tidied up a bit (skip right outside front door).

The location was perfect for walking in and near the area and the apartment was super clean, well furnished and comfortable. It was a lovely size for my friend and I with relaxing light and wide reaching views and had everything for a short or longer stay. The host was friendly and very helpful and accommodated our needs when weather ruined our plans. We will definitely return for another stay, well recommend it.

Our only poor experience was eating in the Moorland Hotel which is within walking distance. We should have gone further afield and there are plenty of suggestions in the well written folder.

Instructions on how to lock the door would have been helpful.

Amazing views from apartment 3, with Hay Tor outcrop in plain view from the kitchen, and all of Dartmoor stretching out for miles from the main bedroom and sitting room. Walk onto the moor straight from the apartment, which is freshly decorated and well appointed, with all the facilities you could need in kitchen and bathroom. Easy entry via key safe, and Vanessa is very helpful. Moorland hotel, practically next door, has good food ( though not a huge range of vegetarian options) and Ullacombe Farm cafe a mile or so away does great breakfasts and lunches. Rock Inn, about 10 min walk, is also supposed to be good. Vast array of good DVDs and board games in sitting room - can recommend 'A Street Cat Named Bob' as a feel good movie (15yrs+).

Everything was great - shops are a couple of miles away, so bring food etc with you.
