Apartment with Outside Patio and Car Space

This is a very comfortable place to stay and close to the City of Durham, which was ideal for us. We appreciated the provision of bread, milk and cereals which helped enormously on arrival. We were grateful for the clear parking and key instructions and the sense of 'homeliness', whilst there.

The property is situated opposite the bus stop, which made it convenient for us, as we had no car. Anne was very caring and provided with basic breakfast ingredients before our arrival. She also checked with us upon arrival that everything was working. Very good host

The main bedroom is by the road, so the first night can be disturbed by traffic. However, it was managable.

Nice location, very well stocked flat, friendly host. Very homely and good value for money.

Great little 2 bed flat in a relatively quiet area, short drive to shops. Beds comfy, lots of toiletries, very well stocked kitchen too. It was so nice to have real plants inside the property! Patio area was lovely in the sunshine.

The bathroom is very small, and the bath did not look very clean, but it was manageable for a short stay. Bedding had a slightly damp smell.

The property is a lovely flat in a fairly quiet location. It has its own private parking which is always a bonus. The Kitchen and bathroom could do with a bit of modernisation, but it had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We met Anne on arrival (as we arrived a bit earlier than anticipated) and she was very approachable. If there was any downside, the village didn’t have a local pub to go to in the evenings, without the need to drive. Durham was a good 15 - 20 minutes drive away. The park and ride was easily accessible.

Home from home. Owner had gone out of her way to provide bread/milk and biscuits. Nice and warm.

A bit out of town if you don’t have a car, but the bus stop is right outside and comes once an hour.

The location was excellent as only a short distance to the Park and Ride and stress free access to Durham. Breakfast was as expected and host contacted me prior to my stay to establish preference for bread and milk. Also host provided excellent directions to the flat as I didn’t have sat nav

I found the flat difficult to fault in any way but due to my poor mobility I found the bathroom a bit compact but my daughter had no issues with the facilities
