Location central Empoli meant it was easy to access Florence, Sienna and Pisa. 2 large bedrooms and well-equipped kitchen. Clean and friendly welcome.

I considered the property to be misrepresented and key details regarding its access to be withheld. The property is on the second floor of a building with no lift. Any visitors with mobility problems or even the aged or infirm would have found its access to be extremely challenging, as did its owner. Which in itself asks the question why prospective customers are not informed. The property description boasted of a "balcony/terrace, this was no more that 36 inches wide and was full of waste disposal boxes and a washing machine. Any expectation of a usable terrace would have been hugely disappointed. This appeared to be the home of other individuals, even a family, with slippers, towels, toiletries, personal effects even a child's cot with printed requests not to use. The free parking is street parking which is only free after 8.00pm and on weekends. The only other free parking is 600 metres away in another area of town. In 20+ years of using Booking.com this is the most misleading property description I have had the misfortune of experiencing. We left two days Earl from a five day reservation and asked for a partial refund based on that fact. Unsurprisingly that has not been forthcoming. Only an email suggesting that no one else has ever had a problem. What a surprise.

For us it was a great location as we were visiting friends who live nearby. Also a nice walk through the town about 10 mins to the rail station giving easy access in all directions. Spacious property, very clean, with 2 comfortable double bedrooms, lovely shower room and well equipped kitchen. Lots of thoughtful little touches, eg. tea bags, coffee, bottled water, toiletries provided. Owner greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour, explained everything we needed to know and arranged payment, (they take card or cash, very efficient). Would visit again and highly recommend.

It had everything you could possibly want. Empoli is a lovely town and so accessible for trains into Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Siena.

There is a little noise from the nearby road but it wasn’t a problem.

Location & size was perfect for us.
