You have the complete Privacy, feels like you are owing a home in Scotland. The owner is really kind and great. I lost the flat key in Edinburgh due to a hole in my jacket, but when I contacted the Owner, he was very kind and drove 30 minutes in cold to give us the spare key. According to me, if you really wanna enjoy Edinburgh in a competitive stay rate this is the best you can get it is approx 1.20 hrs from centre and bus runs every 1 hr. And the best thing is bus stop is right in front of the door.
