The location, cleanliness and ease of operation even though the owner was not there

Perfect location at the heart of Girona.

The room didn't have a balcony but the river view. From the photos my interpretation was to have balcony with river view.

The place is in the center near to the red bridge and all of the amenities from the city. HAS A GREAT RIVER VIEW. The apartment is modern and it has great amenities like hairdryer, TV, conditioning air, also they give you coffee, cookies and it has a mini refrigerator, microwave and kitchen utensils. The shower is comfortable and you have towels. Highly recommended.

Pillows can be better

Perfect central location to visit Girona. Very reassuring to know that the host can be contacted by phone. Lovely apartment with everything that we required. Very quiet with a great view across the river to the Cathedral.

Nothing to fault.

Clean and comfortable and nicely furnished apartment with well equipped kitchenette in the centre of Girona on a busy shopping street. Close to transport, the river and old town. Helpful and nice host and great communication. Fantastic views from rooftop, so make the effort to go up the stairs! Nice little balcony to watch the people go by.

Check in was easy and very clearly explained with codes and instructions sent in advance by the helpful host.

It would have been nice if the host had been clearer about the two apartments. In the pictures it looks like there is a small balcony. However, our apartment did not have a balcony. We did have a lovely view of the river though.

The position in the town was perfect for exploring the wonderful old town of Girona.

We were surprised after looking at the photos online, not to be looking at the river, we were overlooking the pedestrianised road, which was lovely. The river apartment was the one next to ours.

There was decent hot water and the shower cubicle was well sealed, the air conditioning worked well. The location is good. The owner gave us access 30 min before official time and kindly had the cleaners move luggage from one apartment to the other as we could not get 2 nights in the same apartment.

The fact that the host was good at communicating initially but when it really mattered left out information on building repairs till the day before arrival. Told us after we had paid and could not cancel the booking. They knew well before our arrival and indicated it’s not their fault but that does not mean they couldn’t tell us earlier. It has been ongoing for sometime, see other negative reviews.The major work being done on the building made entering it a building site of white dust everywhere, builders junk on stairs making allergies worse, our clothes and bags ended up covered in white dust, and made dragging bags up the stairs more difficult. The unit is not 40 sq meters but more like 22 sq meters, the roof terrace was locked, there is no reception on site as per the description. It’s a kitchenette not a kitchen. One unit has a balcony one has not. The front unit facing the street is noisy with church bells every 15 min till midnight. The back unit “Onyar” is quieter but the blinds do not cover the windows properly letting in light and there is insufficient privacy. The units are simply furnished and were once probably okay but now damaged, with chips in chairs and on table tops. Everything is IKEA. There is not a lot of love in the property. Whilst the cleaner obviously does their best, the ageing is apparent, the dust on the bathroom ceiling fan is awful, dust on some windows, the back of the hair dryer needs a clean, there is no wardrobe. It wasn’t that we hated it here but we were very disappointed it’s just okay if you want a bed, shower and a toilet. Reviews referring to cleanliness and things being new baffle us, for the price we expected better.
