Happily Ever Lisbon

It’s a very large apartment! Had everything we needed for a family of 5.

Nothing, everything was great!!

Very spacious house in a lovely neighborhood in Lisbon! We are used to Lisbon busy city center, so it was lovely to discover this gem. It is beautiful place with private garden 🪴. You can easily take the metro at the end of the street or any bus (there are plenty buses options). There are several places to eat nearby and supermarkets as well. Mariana was super welcoming and nice host! It is nice location from the airport, so perfect for just arriving or departing from Lisbon.

The refrigerator stopped working at some point, so we had to gave it a shake and it came back to life, luckily! Maybe, a review it is necessary so the device works properly again, so just a heads up to the owners.

I was impressed by the friendly host. The house was clean and quiet.

It was even more spacious than I expected from the pictures. She was a very generous host offering to have milk and bread already for us upon arrival. We loved it, would definitely go back.

Host was very helpful in giving us suggestions and help In getting around Lisbon. Also extremely helpful in getting us an early morning taxi to airport.

1) Wi-Fi didn’t work in bedrooms 2) termites or flying ants were all over in bedrooms including beds 3) one bedroom light had an exposed wire which is dangerous and flickered 4) unlike other places we stayed in Portugal booked through Booking.com, this place wanted the tourism tax paid in cash. Host said she’d bring a Booking receipt but did not. Host didn’t have change and said she’d drop it off the next day. She did not. Asked her to give change thru PayPal. She did not. Offered us a free stay in the future.

Bathrooms are spacious and showers were great. Host was prompt and easy to communicate with. Very friendly. Apartment was very clean. 10 min walk from the metro.

Unfortunately, the beds were not comfortable. They were quite hard. I think a mattress topper would be good to put on there or invest in new mattresses. Also there were some flies or mosquitoes in one of the rooms. The host let us know and gave us a spray, but my friend still got some bites on her body.
