Königstor

A superb holiday apartment, better than we expected. Much better, actually. The 'sitting room' has exceptionally comfortable sofas and chairs, pleasant to relax in, and for guests, especially late afternoon when it gets the sun. The nice balcony at the rear is an added bonus, bathed in sunlight in the morning, if it's sunny. I have stayed in dozens of different smaller hotels and guest houses during my life, for work and leisure, and, without a doubt, Konigstor is in the 'top ten'.

Two improvements: 1. please put a brighter ceiling light in the kitchen, partly for cooking, and partly because the kitchen table is the only place where you can write postcards etc in the evening. 2. Darker curtains in the front bedroom, some people (not us) might be kept awake by the street lights etc.

The apartment is beautiful, well equipped. well heated. The owner of the apartment was approachable, kind and generous.

the location was great, very central and connected to public transportation. It was also easy to find parking - free on holidays. On weekdays paid parking. The flat is spotlessly clean, the furniture and appliances new and high quality.

missed a microwave.
