Great location in the old town. Nice views from the balcony. Place is cozy and comfortable, but would be tight for a family of two + kid(s). Short walk to downtown and plenty of restaurants, but may not be suitable if you do not enjoy walking on a steep cobblestone streets.

Like many private homes in Greece, the hot water is from a boiler that needs to work for some time to heat up the water. Connect with the host to make sure you have hot water when you need it

The house is located in a very nice point in the heart of the Castle of Kavala. From the kitchen and the balconi you can enjoy the nice view to the city and to the sea!! Also a nice garden is available for enjoying your breakfast or/and afternoon tea! Mrs Elena is very kind host and ready to support you any time you ask her help!! I fully recoment it for any traveller wants to enjoy a remarkable stay in the beautiful city of Kavala!

Exceptional experience! The house exudes a charming and cozy atmosphere, surprisingly more spacious than it initially appears. However, it's worth noting that the ceilings may pose a challenge for taller individuals, but for someone of shorter stature like myself, it's just perfect. The location is delightful, though newcomers might find it a tad tricky to locate. I visited in December, so I can't speak to the beach conditions during that time, but having been there in the summer, I can attest that both beaches are within reasonable walking distance. For those with motorbikes, exercise caution as the terrain can be hilly and narrow. Car users, be aware, I'm unsure about proximity parking. Being on foot, these considerations don't affect me personally. The standout feature is undoubtedly the balcony, offering breathtaking views and a wonderful atmosphere during both mornings and evenings. Additionally, the host is prompt and reliable in communication, which greatly enhances the overall experience.

While my overall experience was positive, it's fair to mention a couple of points for consideration. As mentioned earlier, the ceilings could be a challenge for taller individuals, so it's something to be mindful of if you fall into that category. Additionally, for those with vehicles, parking arrangements near the property might be something worth inquiring about beforehand, as I traveled on foot and cannot provide insights into this aspect. These aspects, however, didn't significantly impact my personal enjoyment of the stay, and the positives far outweigh any minor considerations.

It is bit difficult to find the place because it is in the historical center of Kavala.

Absolutely stunning views from the terrace. Very well equipped and in a lovely part of the old town. Very responsive owner.

Some of the towels/sheets didn’t seem clean. Perhaps this is just because the washing machine didn’t spin. However, further sheets supplied.

The communication beforehand was super helpful and Helen even came to meet me in the streets since the Kavala old town can be a bit tricky (even for google maps) with all its little hidden paths. The place is super cozy and the hammock with the view is just the cherry on the cake. The little patio outside I have missed to make use of but it seemed as cozy as the rest of the place.

No issue for me but be aware that its is a bit of a "climb" to get up the old town if you are arriving with public transport and have to walk the rest to the apartment.

The host Henry was uncommunicative and certainly not in hospitality mode. You can get closer to the apartment to unload your bags and only then go to the apartment, but no one bothered to explain to us how to get there even though we called by phone. The parking is about a 12 minute walk from the apartment up the hill and with bags was an unpleasant experience. The apartment itself is nice but too expensive for the value.
