Location was fine, central. Basic, but ok. We appreciated it was clean.

Getting in was a treasure hunt: first a code door, then keys in a box with code that was difficult to open in the rain, then doors that work in a very specific way. It's significantly smaller/tighter than how it looks in the pictures. The bed linen could be way better. In one of the rooms it was stained and teared (although clean). The apartment was cold (January). We had two heat radiators that saved us during the night, but for instance we needed to move one of them from a room to the bathroom so we could have a decent temperature in the bathroom also. In the morning we would move one of the radiators in the kitchen, because it was so cold. Kitchen also need some extra sockets. When the microwave is working, you cannot make coffee, cause there is only one socket.

Clean, location, all perfectly organised

​I really liked the location! The apartment is right next to a shopping center, which was very convenient for buying groceries and cooking at home. A laundromat is literally just a 3–5 minute walk away, which was also a big plus. The apartment itself is located right by the metro station, and there's easy access for taxis. Having a private entrance and fenced-off area provided perfect security. The beds were comfortable, and the area was absolutely quiet. Our neighbors were elderly people, which contributed to the overall peace, as we are quiet and calm ourselves. The kitchen had all the necessary supplies: plates, forks, frying pans, pots, and a refrigerator. Nice little extras included dish soap, a capsule coffee machine with three packets of coffee, salt, and spices. The bathroom/shower room was stocked with toilet paper, towels, and shower gel. We were very pleased with the small balcony, which was a nice spot to sit and drink coffee. The second bedroom was located upstairs. The staircase might pose a challenge for an elderly person, but my son and I absolutely loved it! And most importantly—two bathrooms and two showers!

I can't say that I disliked anything at all. I chose the apartment based on reviews, so I knew exactly what I was booking. Since we spent most of our time out, the key factors for me were the great location and the affordable price. If I had to nitpick, the only thing that could be considered a slight inconvenience is that the apartment is located on the first floor (meaning one flight up). Since I was traveling without male assistance, I had to carry the suitcases up the stairs myself. We checked in ourselves, and the process was quick and easy. The first smell we noticed when we opened the apartment was a damp/musty odor. However, I know this is a common issue for apartments in Portugal. After opening the windows, the smell quickly and easily disappeared. I would advise the apartment owner to sharpen all the knives. It's a small, basic detail, but if the knives were sharper, it would make cooking much more enjoyable.
