Lisbon Secret & Charming Baixa 4 bedroom apartment

Quaint apartment in good location

The facilities were terribly lacking with 1 toilet door not working , another has a gap in the door so we had to use a cloth to cover the gap. 2 of the toilets floor got wet as the water from the shower overflows and once the water from the washing machine also overflows into the kitchen . The 4th room was obviously a storage room that was converted into a bedroom but it is not comfortable. Lastly as this is a old apartment with no lifts , carrying heavy luggages up 3 floors was no easy task .

The apt was very clean, spacious and quiet - we were also very happy with the location. The beds were all very comfortable and the apt was warm & cosy. We didn't use the kitchen but it was spotlessly clean and looked very well equipped. There's a gorgeous spot for breakfast just at the end of the street (out front door, turn left and last on right) - highly recommend it! We had 3 fabulous evening meals whilst there and would highly recommend Alta Em Baixa (3 mins walks from apt), Bono Lisboa & La Vita E Bella - absolutely gorgeous meals in all 3 & all within easy walking distance.

There is no mention of the 55 stairs (comprising about 8 sets of stairs) which even for 4 able-bodied people were quite a challenge, especially with suitcases - this apt would definitely not suit someone elderly or with mobility issues. Also quite a few of the electric sockets were not working. The apt would also need more mirrors, there should be 1 in every bathroom and bedroom (the 1 in the main bathroom couldn't be classed as a mirror as it totally distorts the reflection). The shower in the main bathroom was blocked & completely overflowed into the bathroom so we had to use all the towels to mop it up - the other showers were fine.

Excellent location, comfy beds, spacious, double gazing, smokers balcony, not noisy. Make sure to go on a ride in the yellow minicars. Spinach cars even better. The wine shop on the corner.

On the 3rd (4th) floor, no elevator. Dishwasher door broken. Courtesy Dolce Gusto capsules without a machine. Impossible to park nearby.

Spacious apartment with all you need for a self catering stay, in a great location. Easy walking distance to the main sites and transport services such as tram, bus, and metro. Rex was very accommodating with quick responses to queries.

Great location in the center of old Lisbon. The apartment itself was charming and spacious.

Arriving at the apartment, late at night was somewhat daunting, including working all the lockboxes and the sketchy lobby and stairs.
