What made us book the apartment was mainly its design. In reality, it did match the photos more or less, but there's room for some improvement. Additionally, the brightness of the apartment is really great. The apartment was visually very nice with a pleasant vibe

However, when choosing it, one should consider that it's an old building, so the windows are original, don't seal properly, and resonate in the wind. The doors in the rooms don't seal at the bottom, so you can hear everything from one side of the apartment to the other, despite its size. Privacy is not to be expected. I was disappointed by the stained couch. I think they could clean it occasionally, especially since it's white. The kitchen is fairly well-equipped, but it lacked a cutting board, the knife was already bent, and the wine opener was non-functional (although this isn't a requirement in the kitchen, but we're in Portugal🙂), and now onto a bigger issue. An elderly lady is living upstairs who has her TV on extremely high volume levels thorough the day/late night. Even someone who's not looking for a completely quiet apartment will be overwhelmed by this auditory accompaniment. Some days we heard her TV until three in the morning. I tried to contact the people managing the apartment, and I was told she is hard of hearing and that I should go and knock on her door, and explain it to her, which I did, but unfortunately, the situation didn't improve. We came here to relax, but unfortunately, we spent a week listening to noise from the upper floor at night. I don't want to harm anyone, but I think it's fair for others to be aware of this. We didn't get any rest at all. If I had known about this, I definitely wouldn't have booked it, especially for a longer stay like 6-7 nights; you can imagine how frustrating it could become. The value of it is currently questionable.

I am not sure what is there to like about this property. I'm baffled by the positive reviews this place receives, and that was what got us going for it.

WARNING TO ALL GUESTS: Terrible Experience Alert! If I could, I'd rate it zero. It's on the second floor of an old city building with extremely steep stairs. No elevator, so hauling luggage is a nightmare. Watch your step, or you might have an accident. The common areas are disgustingly dirty, and filth is all over. The property is literally falling apart, and they seem content with overdue maintenance while you're paying to stay there. The door handle fell off as we entered, and the kitchen window was shattered. Room locks and keys are a mess, and the bathroom door won't close. No toiletries, and they didn't refill the shower bath. Winter stays are freezing, with only two old school manual heaters for six rooms, and one of them was broken! Don't even try moving them; you'll burn your hand. Uncomfortable beds with a faulty headboard, and we found a used tampon on the floor from the previous guests – a testament to poor cleaning. We complained, but the management's response -although fast- was rude. They actually put the blame on us for the door handle issue and were willing to go back and forth in a never-ending text debate. I mean, seriously, who does that to a customer on holiday? When we requested to cancel the second night due to our extreme dissatisfaction, they flatly refused. Checked out the next day. Some say the property has charm; I say it's just a dump. There are better places in Lisbon for the same money, and you don't need to be in the city center since the metro is fast and efficient. We're seasoned travelers, and this stay was shockingly awful.

The ambience and design of the apartment was absolutely stunning. It felt homely.

The apartment was a little cold at first, but this was easily resolved once the heaters came on.

The mix of classif Lisbon style and modern interior design. 2min walking to the main tram (line 28) and bus connection down town.

Very charming place with nice details in the interior. Nice neighborhood.

Could hear the neighbors tv easily.
