Renovation going on in the apartment next door

The apartment was beautiful. Spotless and well decorated with a lovely garden view. The kitchen was well equipped and the room was cleaned every day. The aircon gave a bit of trouble one evening but the host got it fixed straight away! I would definitely stay again. The resort itself is also wonderful. It feels very safe and it's situated in my favourite part of Umhlanga beachfront - right near the forest.

Since it is a studio, your bed is close to the corridor which can be a bit noisy. The people beneath me were a bit loud when they were on their terrace. But this is typical for large resort buildings and doesn't reflect on the apartment itself.

Service was great and there was lots to do with kids.

Huge black mould issue. Sadly they just painted over it instead of fixing it, so 3 out of 4 in our group got sick after 2 nights.

The facilities and staff were great.

There's no direct access to the lift available. Not very accessible for people in wheelchairs and also when checking baggage etc in and out.

The Breakers resort is beautifully located and has nice access to the beach.The reef restaurant had very lovely food and lovely staff

The apartment on the 3rd floor had a problem with water reacculumulating on the floor in the bathroom and between the kitchen and rooms.It was constantly appearing even after wiping it up with numerous towels.The floor is wet and slippery and was a really hazard especially with toddlers.We had to use all the towels on the floors and didn't have towels for bathing and had to buy our own towels.There isn't a washing machine/dryer available in the apartment and the laundry mat only allows one person at a time to do clothing.This is a nightmare if you stay for a week or longer especially during peak season. I would suggest that if the the owners can not fix the problem then to provide a washing/dryer combination so that the towels we use on the floor can be washed and dried and reused.A floor wiz and bucket will also be a great addition especially when the water gets a lot.

Comfortable beds. Aircon that works. The housekeeper was super friendly.

All good besides a bit of a musty smell, but I believe it was due to a water leek which they had and repaired. The place is well maintained, so I’m sure the owner would have attended any damp by now due to the leak.

Location was excellent. Our room had everything we needed. Kids loved the pools. Our room was stunning.
