The accommodation is in a nice location.

The accommodation had many shortcomings, such as nighttime noise from the bar below and waste disposal. The water in the sink and shower drained very slowly. The bathroom was extremely small. The electrical socket in the kitchen was pulled from the wall. The window couldn't be closed, making the night noise even more disturbing. The walls were very dirty, and there was a large stain on the ceiling. However, the absolute horror came when we found a live cockroach by the bed early in the morning, which we covered with a glass. We immediately contacted the person who provided information about our stay. It's been almost 48 hours, and that person hasn't been able to apologize for this situation! Are you kidding me? I absolutely do not recommend this accommodation! The owner seems to be completely indifferent to how the guest feels, caring only about money. Disgusting.

The host was excellent and very helpful! We were met and shown everything in the Apt. we were in the middle of Alfama which was AMAZING!!! Only a few blocks from fantastic coffee shop and pastry shops. And the metro was only a 10 minute walk along the river so we could get anywhere in the city.

We loved our little apartment but the plumbing drained very slowly which was a little inconvenient. Also we lost power for a few hours on our last day but it didn’t impact our trip at all.

This flat's location is in the famous Alfama square, you just get immersed in this vibrant historical center and it's within walking distance from most sites, our host provided us with a detailed self check-in which went very smooth, the flat was clean, comfy and had all the necessities

Located in the heart of the action in Amalfa, with a restaurant just opposite. Spotlessly clean, well equipped. A very characterful authentic apartment. Fantastic value for money.

Though the location is perfect in the Alfama area, unfortunately not so content. Every night at 1.30 there was awful noise from the garbage cars till approximately 2.15. Keeps you awake. But main thing was the refridgerator leaking, not cooling and defrosting. It destroyed all our food (cheese, ham etc) and as all the ice melted the entire kitchen floor was soaked. During the most hottest days we were not able to store food in a cold way and the fridge was very dirty where the ice had melted. Really groce! When sending the owner multiple messages, which he read as I could see from the blue signs on whatsapp, he was just not responding. I found this quite disrespectful as we had a serious problem. This is not where we paid for and I would like to have some money back for the destroyed food and inconvenience. Up to today they have not responded to my complaints and demand for support. Really terrible service. I could have agreed with the tiny bathroom, the broken electra plugs and the terrible sounds at night or all other misinforming pictures of the apartment if the owner had just helped out and reacted to my messages. Now I just feel like I have been taken advantage of! Just don't rent here as you are been taken for a fool.
