Alfama Historical Apartment 3 BR Duplex

The location was great for exploring the city. The host is wonderful they supply lots of advice and are easily available for assistance they also checked in often to accommodate any needs we may have.

The beds were pretty firm and the bathroom door did not lock.

Perfect location. Spacious apartment.

For some the steps to the apartment and to the upper bedroom may be difficult.

The property is in a great location in the Alfama district. Just a short walk away are restaurants and shopping. Close to sights. Perfect location and quiet.

The apartment is at the top floor and we had to take our luggage up steep small stairs. This is the reality in most of Europe though and didn’t deter our stay. They only had air conditioning in the attic so it’s not exactly correct that they have it all over the apartment. The main living areas only had fans but at least those are available. Both ceiling fans and floor fans were available which made it livable during these hot summer days.

Staff is very nice and very good communication, very helpful letting us check in early and letting us leave our luggage in the apartment until late evening, very pleased .location is very good, the apartment is clean and highly recommended , thank you !

Beds not that comfortable. Couldn’t find any cutlery in the otherwise fully equipped kitchen.

The location was excellent. The host was fantastic. Met us and gave us some great local information and tips. Will happily stay here again.

Everything was great except the stairs were a bit narrow and steep.

Nuno and Isabel are very good hosts; kind, available and look after the clients. The flat is close to Alfama and all around touristic area of the centre. You can reach everything afoot. You can feel the charm of Lisbon and walk around, sitting at restaurants and appreciate such fascinating city. I recommend the reservation.

There are some things that unfortunately are a bit challenging: 1. the bathroom is nice, however the mirror is too low for an averaged tall person. For such charming duplex flat potentially hosting 6 persons, 1 bathroom would not probably be enough :) But I understand it is an old building and not easy to do works. Nevertheless, we were 2 persons, so for us no problems at all. 2. If you have a car, be prepared to pay a lot of money for the parking fee (2euro per hour, mon-fri 09:00-19:00 and max 4h, then you have to go back and pay), however there is close by a parking lot underneath (Cebola) where the fee is 1.5euro per hour and open 24h. But it is the city centre, and that is normal to expect such issue. For the rest, very good place. I have enjoyed the staying and would go back.
