Casa Boma Lisboa - Modern & Luminous Apartment with Balcony - Alcantara I

Location is a bit out of the way from Tourist areas, but access to both Bus and Tram was only a few minutes walk away. Very clean appartment.

One of the beds in the room had broken slats. The door code access can be a bit complicated, but you do get used to it. Although we didn`t use cooking facilities the door to the oven looked as if it didn`t close properly.

Easy communication with the owners prior to our arrival. Easy access to the flat. Overall, it's clean.

The flat is smaller than imagined from the pictures. One bedroom has only space for the double bed. Needed to escalate every day to open the windows. The mould/humidity smell is disturbing. Had to open the windows as much time as possible. I can't imagine being there in the winter. The scents left in the flat are making things worse. The bathroom is very small, and there are NO hangers for ANY towels. 2 friends sharing the flat was the most you could think possible. The street is very noisy. No trees so every car passing is very loudly heard in the rooms. Both bedrooms led to the street. Lisbon also has the bad habit of picking up the recycling bins at 1am. The communication with the owner vanished after the visit (needed to clear an issue raised before the visit). And one last thing - plenty of plastic plants that get full of dust and take precious space without bringing any joy.

The entrance system: Firstly, you need the booking app and an internet connection to enter. And even if you, we had a problem with the lock - we spent over 10 minutes trying to get in the apartment because the automatic lock system didn’t work. My evening plans almost got ruined because we felt that if we leave the apartment we won’t be able to get back in. After several calls and sharing videos with the support we got a physical key. But it was very stressful. The apartment itself is fine.

The property was very clean and looked after. The balcony was a nice area to spend the morning with a coffee. The area was really nice and safe we did hire lime scooters to get to the Belém area.

In the main bedroom the bed was a little bit uncomfortable as the slats underneath were slightly broken.

the tram passes exactly next to the bedroom and sleeping with the window open could be unconfortamble. Inside there is not a table nor chairs where one could work or have lunch/dinner.

The apartment was normal, but the owners did not return part of the money to me after I changed the dates of my stay (I did this before the specified free cancellation date). They simply stopped responding to my messages. It's been half a month and I still haven't received a refund. I don't recommend visiting them.
