Our stay in Madrid was almost ruined by a terrible hazard that could have resulted in serious injury! While moving a small coffee table to create more space and comfort in one of the bedrooms, the heavy stone top came loose and nearly hit my youngest son's foot. Had it hit him, we would have spent our trip in a pediatric emergency room! Upon inspecting the broken stone, it became clear to us that it had been previously glued and poorly positioned—a pre-existing and unstable "repair" on the verge of failure. To our surprise, the owner charged us an exorbitant 300 euros to repair this worn and dangerous piece of furniture. Something he will have to glue and put back in the same place. This seemed to us a trap to extract extra money from tourists for old and poorly maintained items. The apartment itself is old, outdated, and lacks any elegance. The photos on the website do not accurately reflect the environment. Furthermore, common sense dictates that if it were truly a valuable antique, it wouldn't be in a vacation rental surrounded by other pieces of such questionable taste and evident age. I've been a Booking.com customer for a long time, with excellent reviews from hosts and guests, and in all my years of traveling, I've never witnessed behavior like this. We paid the fee simply to avoid further harassment, but the combination of physical risk with this financial "surprise" was terribly unpleasant. Don't risk your family's safety or your money at this place.

Voisins bruyants, claquage de porte à répétition y compris dans la nuit. Une personne qui avait oublié ses clé a mis des coups de pieds dans la porte et a sonné à notre porte, impossible de dormir…
