Modern and charming apartment on the shores of Lake Lucerne

Great location, Great Lake views Very comfortable

The location and size of the property was perfect for our needs - the view of the mountains and lake from the balcony was prefect ! The facilities in the kitchen for cooking were sufficient for our needs , though it was disappointing not to have the ability to make ice cubes. The TV set up was good as we could Airplay Apple Tv and Amazon Prime series directly from my iPad without having to sign in via the apartment's set up. Access to restaurant in the town was good , though it needs to be noted that the See Restaurant Schwert , as recommended in the guide has shut down. We would certainly recommend the Restaurant 400 degrees steak at the See Hotel Riviera - the dry aged beef there is a must to try !!

Al in all a nicely appointed apartment and ideal for a short stay - however the pillows were too soft but thankfully we had decided to bring our own firm pillows. The lack of shutters on the window of the rear window meant that the bedroom gets very light in the morning so a thicker curtain or black out blind would have been appreciated !

Nothing - this was a really awful experience!

We arrived late to find giant centipedes in the 2nd bedroom (both dead and alive) which we cleared up immediately. We also noticed a horrible, very strong, medicated ointment smell in the main bedroom, but it was very late and we were so tired, we fell into bed, thinking perhaps it was a cleaning product. The duvet provided was far too small and did not cover 2 people. Next morning, we noticed that our nightclothes were impregnated with the strong scent of this ointment, as was the duvet itself, the cover, sheets and pillows; we also noticed that there were bloodstains on the sheets. Obviously, the bedding had not been changed from the previous guests! We felt revolted! Our son did not sleep at all, as the few initial insects turned out to be an infestation; several were scuttling fast about his walls all night, making noise. He kept on his light to try to keep them at bay, knowing they can bite. Other signs of poor cleanliness & maintenance: the lamp in our son's room was full of dead insects, the kitchen sponge was dirty, the washing-up liquid bottle was empty, the tablecloth in the lounge was badly creased/ unironed. We were on a tight schedule and had to be up early on a special prebooked train ride, so could not deal with this until our return at 7pm that evening. We contacted the agent, Coucou&Co (this was within 24 hours of our arrival) who initially told us there was nothing they could do. Eventually, they sent the cleaner up who gave us a clean duvet cover but said he could not provide any other replacement bedding. (He found another stained duvet in the back cupboard.) He swore and admitted that he had not enough time between guests to clean properly. He did nothing about the insects! We did not sleep at all, booked alternative accommodation at 3am as the place was unsanitary with no hope of improvement, and we vacated the property early, informing the agency promptly at 6am, that we had left. They are currently refusing to refund us!

The view was great; We enjoyed our meals in the balcony. The apartment was well maintained. A bit too modern equipment.

Lots of house rules including trash bag specification; We visited local COOP supermarket and they had no idea what that bag means. They should consider providing additional bags, surely it wouldn't be a significant cost! Even if it did, plz pass on the cost to customers instead of passing on the stress to find them in supermarkets esp for tourists who only rely on English as common language. Deposit requirement after the booking was done; it was not clear before hand.

neighbors downstairs smoke on their balcony and the smoke would rise to our balcony. So as a non smoker with breathing issues didn't get to enjoy the balcony as much as we would have liked.
