PARK VIEW

The location in the town centre was great, especially as it overlooked the park. The flat was very spacious. Having a parking space in the yard was very useful. Efficient Wi-Fi.

A little more kitchen equipment would have been useful

Owner did not give us information to get into the property, did not show up to let us into the property, did not respond to phone calls, texts, or an email. It took over two hours to try to contact the owner and work with Booking.com to get another place to stay.

Excellent location. We used Hexham as a home base for exploring Hadrian's wall and other local historic sites. Very helpful host who helped us quickly resolve an issue with a neighbor who didn't realize they had some kind of alarm going off. The host also left us a fresh pint of milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch. Private off-street parking was definite plus. Comfortable kitchen and living area. An electric hearth in the original fireplace came in handy for warming up after a cold, wet hike. Very cozy and memorable.

Many others have noted the two sets of long, steep stairs. We're in our 60's but we dealt with it. We found using the combo washer and dryer confusing. Trying to use it for just drying some damp things proved frustrating despite having the instructions readily available. My biggest suggestion would be to install a grab bar to aid in getting out of the bath without the risk of breaking a hip. We did find the traction mat in the closet that definitely helped.

Excellent location for visiting family and friends in the Hexham and Newcastle area. The property is adjacent to the beatiful Sele Park and a short walk from the town centre the station and the river. Great places to sightsee, walk, eat and relax. Owners were very friendly and helpful , responding quickly to texts.

It would have been handy to have a visitor book with information about the property, user manuals for appliances, emergency numbers etc.

Great for what we wanted

The stairs from the door to the living area. We are both over 70 and had a lot of heavy luggage.

Just the stairs are very steep and narrow , could put a gate at top just in case you fall down if going to bathroom .
