Casas da Baixa - Terracos das Olarias Pool

It was a very spacious and well equipped apartment, exactly like the pictures. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were very good. It was very quiet at night and there was a nice city view from the balcony which overlooked the garden. You can also see Castelo de S. Jorge from the front door. There is an outdoor pool which we didn't use as access is not directly from the apartment, this was not an issue for us. Plenty of small shops located near by also. It was about a 5 min walk to a larger supermarket near the Tram 28 stop and Martim Moniz Metro station is close by too. There is no luggage storage in the apartment block but there is Bounce Luggage Storage outside Rossio Metro Station (€6 per day per bag) and also lockers in the station.

Very hard to dislike anything with the apartment. It is up a steep hill which may not be suitable for families with small children or older people. But Lisbon is built on hills so its something that you expect here.

Casas da Baixa is a lovely well decorated apartment in a great location of Lisbon. Many sights are within walking distance. The west facing patio overlooks a garden area with the pool so late afternoon time relaxing is perfect. The apartment although in an older building is in excellent condition. There are several small convenience shops and patisseries in the area. Checkin was easy. The main bedroom has a Juliette balcony and king bed., twins are in the second bedroom but are not able to be separated.

It would have been good to be able to separate the twin beds. There was confusion about paying the tax before the property would send entry information. I think this was a miscommunication from Booking.com. with the Property owners and required several messages, proof with screenshots etc. Booking had requested the payment, I made it, and then property contacted me stating that I had not.

The location was even better than we expected. The flat was within walking distance from a lot of top sights as well as fascinating, meandering streets of Alfama.

Great location: close to the center, public transport, shops, restaurants. Very quiet and peaceful in the evening and night. The apartment itself is amazing- it is spacious, very clean and well equipped. The hosts are fantastic- quick responses to all questions, clear instructions, very straightforward check in and check out.

Would be great to have basic things like salt, pepper and dishwasher tablets. We have left some of these things at the apartment, hope the next guests can use it :)

Very easy check-in location. Location is great. People should be aware, like a lot of Lisbon, the street is very steep. Uber is super cheap in Lisbon and we used that a lot.

Some ice trays in the freezer would have been nice

Having the pool and a balcony was a bonus. Especially as outside space is often difficult to find in a city. Beautiful, clean and secure apartment. Perfect for friends and family. Would definitely recommend.

Only drawback was the access to the pool. Had to go out our apartment block into the street and enter garden area through a block just around the corner. However there was a shower and toilet at the pool which was spotless and means you can be at the pool for longer period.
