Modern Cozy Studio - Portas Do Sol

Handige locatie en alles aanwezig, fijne badkamer en keuken.

Er is geen airco en dus behoorlijk warm. Er staat wel een ventilator maar dat is niet voldoende. Verder moet je er rekening mee houden dat je op de vierde verdieping zit, en ook aan de achterzijde. We zijn er alleen geweest om te slapen omdat 4 trappen omhoog in dan in de hitte zitten niet echt fijn is.

It was clean & compact. The shower was good. The fan worked well. The owner responded when I couldn’t get into the apartment as lock safe outside was broken & didn’t work

The stairs up to the apartment were very steep & the light only came on at the 1st floor so going down didn’t feel very safe. The property was difficult to find for taxi’s. It is positioned near the bins so you couldn’t open the window without letting the smells in at times. Getting into the apartment with the lock device was hard to do

A comfortable room, with all facilities we need: cozy bathroom, very useful kitchen with microwave, electric kettler, fridge and kitchen tools. Comfortable bed. A quiet street, so we can relax after an eventful day. Perfect location, within 7-15 minutes walk, we can reach the tram station, train station, and bus station, which is perfect for people using public communication. And finally helpful and polite owner, with whom there is fantastic contact. The owner answered all questions, including those related to sightseeing, communication and very specific solutions that can only be found in Portugal. To get to the apartment you actually have to climb some steep stairs, but I'm 155 cm tall and weigh 50 kg and I carried a suitcase weighing 18 kg up them and they weren't a problem for me. Please don't be afraid of stairs ;-) A wonderful accommodation in the center of the historic district of Lisbon. I couldn't have made a better choice! :-)

The location was great (if you don't mind the hill), right below the Castelo de São Jorge. The closest metro station is Martim Moniz, and the light-rail station Santa Apolónia is on the other side of the hill.

Others have complained about the narrow stairway. The stairs are steep and uneven. I couldn't figure out how to trigger the motion sensor, so I needed to use my cell phone to see my way down the stairs at night. Pro tip: There is an outdoor escalator about halfway down the east side of Martim Moniz Plaza. It'll take you about halfway up the hill.
