Pico da Bica

The location was super walkable to the main city attractions, but also very quiet at night! It surpassed our expectations on decor and cleanliness - would highly recommend!

The shower handle was broken by the tap, the warm cold switch was difficult to control. The apartment felt very moist so we had to turn on the heating to dry it out even with the bathroom fanning on.

Easy access with a code and good owner communication. Very good towels and shower. Being March it was cold inside at first as the heat was low. It was hard to get the living area warm enough but the bedroom was fine. Layout is in an old but updated building with an elevator.

Very private, no noise from the street, very secure. Walking distance from many great spots, easy to find places with locals surrounding you.

Very good location, reasonable price, close to great restaurants. It was not too loud, the beds are good, and the apartment is very large and comfortable. The host responds quickly to messages, and check-in is very easy.

In the bedroom, small pieces of brick fall from the ceiling on one of the beds. I think it should be remedied. There was also a strong sewage smell one night (maybe because it was raining). Also, there is a strange window in the room that cannot be covered, and during the night, light can come in when cars pass, or the occasional source of light is something else (I don't know which way that window is oriented)

Great location. So close to everything. Apt super clean and comfortable. Beds very good. Clean towels for everyday.

7 digit pin code is too much to have to remember to access the building. Would have been good to have some bottled water on arrival.

We weren't sent the door code before check in, I had to call the host using a wireless hotspot in the sun to get it. Not ideal but not the worst!

The property was very nicely decorated, with good taste. Location is great, close to all the main attractions and nice restaurants. The communication with the host was smooth and easy, they always replied promptly. The apartment has everything you need, only would be also nice to add basic things like salt, sugar and oil.

Unfortunately it seems that the apartment is in an old building, which causes a lot of moisture on the walls and in the air and there is sewage smell. The smell is the strongest on the terrace (so you cannot really spend time there) but also gets in the apartment. For someone sensitive to smells and having big problems with nausea, I have to say this was a struggle.

Location is great, very close to the pink street and Elevador da Bica. There are lots of restaurants near by and places to grab something to eat or have a drink. Despite being located in a busy and touristic area, the apartment is quiet, it was also very clean and equipped with everything we needed. We had a great time staying in Pico da Bica!
