Cozy Apartment with Castel view

The property was in a good location, easy access to major attractions like the St George Castle and it’s within the Moorish quarters. We never had to take the metro but you can walk towards it if you wish. Restaurants and shopping centres are within walking distance (about a 10 minute walk), you can also easily catch an Uber. The property itself was very clean, the linens smelled so fresh when we arrived. The beds were comfortable and although it’s a small flat, it’s definitely enough space for a family of 4. Sofia was also a lovely host who is very responsive and prompt in answering any queries and concerns.

It would have been nice if the small room also had a fan as there were no windows and even though we came at a cooler time of the year it was very stuffy (the living room and the connecting room had one). Another issue we had was with the shower, the shower curtains aren’t big enough to fully cover the tub and at one point water was spilling on to the floor on our first night. Also, we were asked to recycle/ take out the rubbish (which are perfectly fine requests), however there were no plastic bin bags provided in the flat apart from the single ones in use.

The location was ideal, just outside of the city centre and tourist area with lots of bars and attractions in easy walking access as well as transport links. Also really enjoyed the balcony with a lovely view. The apartment was comfortable, clean and to a good standard.

No aircon, which is an issue if you overheat more easily. Also one of the bedrooms is off another, which is not ideal however, both these things were made clear in the listing and before arriving. Also note, the local police station is outside and the hospital is near too, so sirens were often heard just outside.

Location wasn't too bad, little run down but that didn't bother us.

I became very sick while staying at the property. Had to go to an emergency hospital and was diagnosed with pneumonia!! That's very serious. Contracted a bacterial infection. Beds were very uncomfortable Initially, i thought i was hetting pain in my back t because the beds were so uncomfortable. But when the pain moved to my lungs and I was struggling to breathe, i knew there was something very wrong. Luckily, I went straight to the hospital. The place had a very strong musty smell, and black dust was falling from a hole in the bedroom. When i told the doctors all of this, they told me to leave the leave and book into a hotel!! Camera are there were mold spores in the flat I incurred an expensive medical bill and additional hotel costs. So it cost me an extra £1000, and I couldn't enjoy half the holiday. Also, the bathroom needs an upgrade ! That's my review!

Accessible for the public transport and there’s a few selection of restaurants (with the beat so far and good value for money is located below the apartment.

Nothing in particular but the tv is not working. We press all the necessary buttons but did not work. We don’t mind actually since we have more time talking to the rest of the group.

The location was very central and easy to reach the metro and public transport. Also in walking distance of shops, restaurant's and attractions.

The apartment needs updating. The kitchen cupboard doors and draws do not fit/ close. The crockery is old, and mismatched. All the furniture, and bathroom old and tired. Basic cleaning was okay but doors, skirting and floors grubby. The bedroom ceiling had a small hole which debris and believe termites were falling through. The host was quick to send maintenance to fix the hole and another clean but the property needs maintenance to fix other issues such as exposed light fittings.

Cheerful interior, clean, sunny, good view, secure, close to public transport. The host communicated very well and Julian who met us there was very friendly and helpful. Julian helped carry my luggage up the single flight of stairs.

The street was a little noisy with windows open. The second bedroom is off the first, is very small and windowless. I chose instead to sleep on the couch as I prefer being close to an open window and found that to be a very comfortable option.
