honesty, this was the worst experience i have ever had with booking.com i have explained my reasons to booking.com , the property had a broken door and it caused a terrible stay in lisbon with my partner, we spent the marjority of our time trying to deal with the door and the key that does not work properly, we were locked in and was not able to open the door in some cases over night (had to call a locksmith ourselves to fix the issue). However, the location was very good and the host was not that bad at responding to the issue of the door but blamed us for breaking the door (please look back at other reviews to see this issue was bond to happen- door was not locking properly for more than year) . The way they handled the problem shocked me, with no real help from the landlord. I usually do very good reviews on the properties and tend to hate giving bad reviews because i see that as not nice but for this property that i cannot, before leaving I paid to finally fix the door which was not functioning correctly for more than a year. to hope that no other tenant faces the same problem as we did with the landlord .... so be very cautious about renting this property !!!

Check in was easy and host was responsive and friendly. Great location with a lot of great food around. Check out Damas for dinner and Copenhagen Coffee Lab for breakfast, these were some highlights of our time in Portugal. The apartment is small, tighter than it looks in pictures, but it was fine for us (the TV is unusable due to its location but we wouldn't use it anyway).

Smell from the bathroom drain isn't good. Its tolerable, but not good. The bed is up against walls on 3 sides and feels a little claustrophobic. The plumbing from the neighbor is just behind the wall of the bed, so you can hear the toilet flush and water running next to your head. It was fun to stay in a legit tiny apartment in Lisbon, but I'd get a hotel my next visit.

Great location - close to everything but not too busy. There is a lovely Saturday market just up the road. The tram to downtown stops just around the corner.

it is a very tight space, especially the bathroom. Not much room for my clothes etc. it is ok for 1 person, a bit small for 2.

I thought as my first trip to Portugal, Portugal was amazing and very interesting! The apartment was very straggly! I want to thank Teresa who was absolutely Fantastic person so friendly and so helpful Thank you Teresa hugs to you Kind regards Fredrik

If I could find something, it might be the sewage smell that was strong from the toilet..but there is nothing else to complain about..everything was perfect for me!

Good location, great value. Helpful and responsive staff/manager.

No ventilation in the small bathroom and it got very humid, so my towel did not dry at all and there was nowhere to hang it.

The location was wonderful, right next to a pretty church and in the old town Alfama, which I personally consider the most beautiful part of Lisbon. You can reach the city center within a 20min walk. The bed was comfortable and the flat provided everything we needed. For us it was a good place, since we didn't plan to stay in the accommodation our whole vacation, so it's sufficient for the nights, but I'd book something larger if you have things to do inside during the day. Check-In and Check-Out were easy. I saw some reviews say that the bathroom smells. There is in fact a light smell of the drain, but note that this is very common in Lisbon, so I wouldn't call it a con.

Nowadays, most hotels provide a place to leave your luggage for free, if your flight back is later than the check out time. It would be great if the host could offer something like that. The place was quite small and there was e.g. no space to unpack your clothes, it would be nice to have something like that.
