AELocation and amenities.
The host sent through a bunch of rules before check in but did not bother to take 10 seconds to inform me that there is a parking charge of R12 when parking in the public parking to arrange biometrics with reception. This is quite a nominal charge for anybody that can afford this property, but as a matter of principle and transparency, it ought to have been disclosed over and above the myriad of rules sent through by text. Biometrics did not activate immediately which left me stranded with 5 suitcases in the lift lobby. The host did intervene quickly and this was not a problem for the rest of the stay. I doubt the property was cleaned well before check in. We had to deal with two cockroaches within 12 hours of check in and before bringing any food in. Fortunately, this did not reoccur thereafter. There is a large conspicuous stain on the couch, which should not be the case for a property this expensive. All that being said, the property is redeemed somewhat by the amenities, the location, and the convenient biometrics system.

ZAZAZALocation is great close to Gateway, Oceans Mall, Umhlanga Beach and Bronze beach. You can easily access both the N2 and M4 if you are moving around. The apartment was very comfortable, we went with our children and they loved it. The kids also loved the courtyard downstairs on days were came back early and the restaurants downs stairs were great for dinner. Lastly the host is very detail oriented in preparing for check in which made everything easy. The other bonus is that the unit comes with 2 parking bays.
