Cosy Luxury Apartment - Lisbon Center

The location was very good. The owner replied to our messages in a timely manner, however you couldn’t call him - unavailable number stated on the website.

There was a lot of mold and it’s extremely unhealthy to sleep in such an environment. We had to sleep with the window open and suffer the mosquitos in order to breathe properly. The door of the room building couldn’t be opened properly- each day we had to spend between 10 and 30 minutes to unlock the door, not knowing if we will be able to unlock it at all. We let the owner know, they said they’ve checked and tried to fix the door, but it didn’t get better. There were a lot of tiny stairs to climb in the building, no elevator, so it was difficult with the luggage. The apartment was supposed to have a terrace, but it was more like a big window with a fence - you couldn’t get out on it. The owner had a phone number on the website, but it was always turned off.

I had a very disappointing stay at this apartment. The place was in terrible condition, with mold everywhere and peeling walls. The humidity was unbearable, and there was a strong, musty smell throughout the apartment. The only source of heat was a small fan heater, which was not enough to keep the place warm.

The location is really good, close to bars, supermarket etc. However, this advantage can quickly become a downside (see below).

- Apartment condition: The photos on the booking page are misleading. In reality, the apartment is much older and in need of serious renovation. Simple tasks like opening windows or doors can be quite frustrating, as they don’t function properly. - Ants in the bathroom: A constant issue that made the stay uncomfortable. - Bad smell: There was a strong, unpleasant smell in the apartment, likely due to high humidity. It never seemed to go away and made the space feel musty. - Entrance door issues: The front door was particularly tricky. It sometimes took up to 5 minutes just to get it open, which was a real hassle after a long day. - Noise at night: The area is lively, and locals tend to hang out on the street, making it quite noisy in the evenings. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to rest, this is definitely not the right choice.

Right in the heart of the party. Grilled sardines and meat on your doorstep. If you are a light sleeper, consider to book your stay somewhere else during mid June. We personally loved it, very welcoming neighbourhood and attentive host.

Place and view were perfect.

Was very noisy, stairs were steep and narrow - difficult with the luggage.

The place is small, but practical. the location is ok. You will need to be ok with walking as the public transport is not great and taxi and uber wouldn't pick you up from the address. The view of the back is very nice, but there is no balcony. Basic practical things are provided. You will need to bring your own coffee or tea if needed as it seems the availability is based on what the previous guests have left behind, as for example there was some flour and salt in the cupboard but no sugar or tea. The bed is comfortable, bathroom and shower good. There is a washing machine but no laundry products, so, if you really need to do washing you need to bring some laundry gel/powder with you. Window insulation is good.

Transport can be a real issue specially going back to airport if you don't plan it well. you seriously need to factor this in if you don't want to miss your flight. We had to walk 10 minutes to a bigger road and wait there for 15 minutes at 6am to be pick up by a taxi and taken to the airport.
