Exquisit Flat Left

The location was good, the kitchen was functional, and the price was cheap.

We misread the host's instructions about the door code on arrival and, despite trying to call, received no reply, which was frustrating. While we take some responsibility for that, better communication from the host would have helped. Unfortunately, access to the flat was consistently difficult throughout our stay due to a mobile food van blocking the entrance. On the first night, a loud street party kept us awake until 3am, which wasn’t ideal after a long journey. Each time we returned to the property, we were met with an unpleasant smell—likely from the nearby drains or bins—which made the place feel unhygienic. There was visible black mould in the kitchen above the cupboards, which needs urgent attention and a proper deep clean with bleach. The shower mixer was also faulty, constantly switching between too hot and too cold, making showering uncomfortable. The living room lighting was another issue: the energy-saving bulbs are so dim that the room is barely usable in the evening. Reading or relaxing in there was nearly impossible. The TV isn’t a smart TV, so you're limited to a few basic channels—no Netflix or streaming options. The bedroom ceiling is extremely low due to the flat being split into a loft conversion. At over 6 feet tall, I had to bend down constantly, which wasn’t mentioned in the listing and should have been clearly stated. But the worst part by far was the bed. It was unbelievably uncomfortable. As a side sleeper, I experienced severe neck and shoulder pain, and even four days later I’m still feeling the effects. It’s genuinely the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.

Location was great handy to supermarkets and lots of eating options.

The stairs and bedroom being in a loft with sloped ceiling and constantly having to stoop so you didn’t hit your head, which we did a number of times. Also, it would have been good to have information on how to operate the washing machine, when the garbage is collected and garbage bags.

Everything was good

The location was great, easy access to transit, one great restaurant around the corner and many more near by. The apartment was well equip with fridge, stove and washing machine. The bed was comfortable and the the place was very clean. We had a great stay.

Clean, comfy and great value for money. My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights on a city break. The apartment is in a good location in a cool, well-connected neighbourhood, a little out from the centre. The area is pretty and relaxed. Full of great coffee places and independent cafes. It's a great size for two people, and on a split level which made it feel bigger. The space is clean and the kitchen well-equipped for preparing simple meals at home. Our host was available and helpful, friendly and responsive to messages. All in all, great value for money!

There was a little noise from the neighbouring building and streets but the windows are really good, so with them closed you don't hear much of it.

Great location. Easy to get everywhere in the city. Cook was easy and market close by. Good wifi and nice kitchen.

Location was great for exploring Lisbon. Nearby Pingo Doce supermarket ideal for food supplies etc. Kitchen had all the utilities we needed. Easy self check in / out procedure.

The mattress and pillows could do with updating. Furniture needs some sort of padding in all the apartments to help improve sound insulation.
