Beautiful Studio in Mouraria

The host, Silvia, was very kind and accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier than the scheduled time. The property had good water pressure and hot water was available quickly. The location was great for accessing the old town and the Christmas markets. The room also included a hairdryer, coffee machine, iron, and a small balcony, which were nice touches. The Wi-Fi was excellent.

The cleanliness needs improvement. Surfaces were dusty, and the shower had visible limescale and some mold/water damage on the corner. The tap had rust, though it still worked well. The floors squeaked a lot, which made it hard not to disturb others. Additionally, the walls were in need of painting. The steep entrance may not be suitable for elderly guests, and the surrounding area had groups of homeless people gathering nearby at night, though they seemed harmless during our stay. Overall, the property felt overpriced for what it offered.

I sincerely struggle to see how people rated this place so good.. The only good thing was that the shower had hot water…

1. The bed is very small, I guess it’s the cheap ikea 140x200 bed 2. The mattress and pillow are very uncomfortable… to the point where my wife woke up during the night because of neck pain, as the pillow was way too high and hard 3. The place was not very clean the seats had a lot of stains 4. The location was not too far away from the center but as soon as you are out of the apartment it felt very dodgy (every time we walked home, I put my watch away) it was full of loud, drunk group of black and Indian man who were shouting at each other insulting each other… my wife mentioned alone she would not have stayed here… 5. The stairs are very steep in the building, if you plan on getting drunk I don’t recommmend staying here it’s kind of dangerous. 6. The room does not have an AC but a very very old fan which is very loud during the night; the floor is squeaking with every step you do. 7. The building itself, which is not a hotel…, is very dirty and dusty and full of spiders 8. After you book the place the host also asks you to bring out the garbage which is insane, because you literally pay for this service which is very unusual as I’ve never heard of something like this before

Very good communication with the owners, they welcomed us nicely and gave us the key to the accommodation. Before that, we received instructions on WhatsApp. A welcome bottle of Port wine was on the table and the enjoyment could begin :). The location is excellent and most of the attractions are within walking distance. Be prepared for stairs and uphill/downhill walks, Lisbon is just like that. My recommendation for morning coffee is https://www.kossies.cafe/ which is just around the corner and then wherever your path leads.

Upon our arrival at the location, we were warmly greeted in the compact apartment. The apartment might have around 20 square meters of usable space, and the bathroom is very small. Everything was explained to us, and Silvia was very kind and friendly with our little boys and obvs. us.

The bed was very small, as mentioned before, and so was the bathroom. The floor squeaks, which is definitely inconvenient when you don't want to wake a sleeping child. The steps leading to the apartment are quite steep and narrow, posing a challenge with strollers. The bedsheet had stains from the previous guests. What I also find very inappropriate is that I have to take out the garbage myself. The accommodation costs a little over 90€ per night. There is no cleaning provided throughout the entire stay, and no breakfast served either. Upon opening the door to exit, you're right on the street (though "street" is a broad term, as it's a very narrow alley). Small, maneuverable strollers are almost unusable here, as the varied terrain makes it difficult to get anywhere.

Very friendly personal welcome.

The size of the apartment was advertised with 40qm, our estimation is max. around 25qm - we would never book such a small apartment. Please urgently check the size!!! The shower head was broken, the shower quite dirty - see pictures. The bathroom was very tiny.

This is an excellent studio apartment in an extremely central location. To arrive at the apartment from the airport was very straight forward as the metro line is close by the studio. Host Ana was extremely friendly and was in contact with me in the days before my arrival to give directions and to arrange a time so that she could let me into the studio and give information about Lisbon and how to move around the city. Throughout my stay Ana was always available and happy to help if I had any issues. The studio was clean and had a well equipped kitchen which was useful. I would highly recommend any solo traveler to stay here as it was great value for money given the quiet location, apartment amenities and friendly helpful host.

Nothing

The studio was in a great location, just round the corner from a metro station which gave access to the whole city. It was also easy to get to from the airport using public transport. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals and the waterfall shower was amazing (especially for long hair!). The bed was very comfy and the balcony doors and fan made sure it wasn't too warm at night even with it being 30 degrees.
