Exclusive 1 bedroom flat in the heart of Lisboa

The unit was beautifully furnished and had a washing machine. Location was excellent so we used local buses, trams and trains to get around.

Super compleet, schoon en sfeervol appartement. Echt alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Bij aankomst stonden een flesje wijn en wat crackers klaar. Na het tramongeluk werd nog geïnformeerd of wij oke waren. Het centrum is op loopafstand. We hebben genoten van de stad en het appartement.

If you arrive late in the evening (around 23:00) due to a total unorganised Lisbon airport.... - first I got a message (via booking.com) from Joana that we will be received by a colleague of hers to get the keys.. - In transit from the airport we get a Whats Up from Guilherme Silva claiming he is the colleague and I should not forget the 20€ for late check in.... At the time of meeting this gentlemen at the apartment, he increased this 20€ to 40€. Us, we refused since this was never ever in discussion before and was definitely never communicated. His simple answers was, that he will kick us out and we could go and find an other place if we want. He claimed this is a clear order from Joana! She got back to us the next morning, apologising that she was sleeping last night when we tried to reach her..... Needless to say that we never got a receipt for this 40E and/or the 24€ tourism tax.... ..and we also don't appreciate to get personal E-Mail to advertise that HABITAT has 46 properties in Lisbon and can book them directly (outside Booking.com) via E-Mail or phone....

The property has high ceilings, spacious, and in a decent area. It came equiped with utensils and most items needed.

The bathroom sink was hanging off the wall, causing a puddle of dirty water to build in the sink. I had to complain and chase 3 times before somebody came to fix it. It took 4 days before somebody actually came - we were only there for 6 days. The toilet bowl was also hanging off the wall. On the final day (21st July), the cleaners arrived 30mins before our given check-out time (11am). We were in the process of packing. They waited downstairs and returned at 11am exactly, then rushed us to leave. In our haste to leave the property, I left a device behind (worth £150), plugged into the TV. I contacted the host (Joana) about it and it took 2 weeks for her to confirm they had found it. She hardly responded to messages and I had to repeatedly message her for a response. She eventually asked for my contact details and said she would post it to me once she received payment for postage. Joana has since stopped responding to my messages. The last message she sent me was on 8th August - confirming she had found the device. However, the flat continues to take bookings. I have sent her 5 messages since then, one message every week, trying to arrange for the device to be returned (worth £150). It appears she has decided to keep the device for herself... Bookings.com has been asked to step in, but I've had no updates. I believe the universe finds ways to inflict pain and suffering on those who cause it.

Nice cozy apartment in a great location.

A beautiful apartment in a wonderful, central location, full of charm and character, the hosts were super helpful, and made every effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable, communication was excellent and check in and check out were seamless. Highly recommend and will return.

An earlier check in would have been helpful, as we arrived in the morning, but other than that, our stay was perfect, thank you Joana and team!
