Villa Sassalto

Absolutely spectacular view of the lake. 5 min walk down to the lake front where you can swim. Quiet and peaceful. Our host Franco was kind and extremely helpful. Nice property with 2 clean and full bathrooms, 2 spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and lots of storage. Absolutely fantastic value.

There was nothing to complain about, but if you are traveling with people who can’t climb stairs you need to consider that you MUST climb some stairs to get to the property. Parking can be a challenge.

Äusserst freundlicher Verwalter (Signor Franco), spektakuläre Lage der Wohnung mit toller Terasse und Seesicht, am Stadtrand von Lugano in sehr ruhiger Lage gelegen, allerdings ist Treppensteigen erfordert (wir haben etwas mehr als 120 Stufen gezählt, also nicht rollstuhlgängig).

Sophie and Nicla went beyond our expectation. From communication to having things done for us, which aren't even directly connected with the accommodation like parking. They were absolutely committed and you could see it. Local tips & recommendations or being available anytime via WhatsApp. Don't get a negative impession from the initial message after booking - it only gets better. The villa is very cosy - much nicer then on the few pictures online. We loved its italian flair and rather antique furniture. It is spacious enough for four people, the kitchen is well equipped. Very tidy. Have to mention the comfortable beds for great refreshing sleep and the biggest blankets I have ever experienced - maybe 220 cm long. We wished we could have prolonged our stay a bit more and enjoy its warming ambience and views a bit more.

Some might perhaps argue, that the nice furniture tends to show stains. But the furniture serves to enhance the cosy authentic atmosphere in the first place. In this matter I don't consider a stain on a yellow sofa as a problem at all. It is much more complicated to maintain the nice things in the best shape, especially while the high season turn-around.
