The Vanbrugh Suites

The location is great, 10 mins walk from the amenities of the Summertown neighbourhood, an array of buses to get into central oxford, good parking on site, a fully comprehensive kitchen and comfortable and stylish livingroom area, as well as good sized bedroom with a comfy bed.

The place was very good and the staff were really great. I had good interactions with all of the crew. Super friendly and took good care of us.

No complaints. Place could use a little more light but overall very happy this was where we landed for 3 1/2 weeks before moving into our full time apartment.

Good transport links, roomy accommodation with great facilities.

Beds a little hard. Could hear people upstairs. Sofa a little low for person with a disability.

Great location, parking and close to a bus stop. Quiet but close to shops and restaurants.

The bathrooms felt a little tired. Lighting wasn’t ideal, and the shower cubicle was very small.

We are parents of a new Oxford student and recently stayed in a 2-bedroom suite on the ground floor at Vanbrugh Suites for 4 nights to help our child settle in. The location is excellent, especially if you have a car. There is free parking right at the door, and it's just a 10-minute drive to the center of Oxford and a 5-minute drive to a large M&S food store, which is great for cooking or buying ready-to-eat meals. The suite features gas stoves, enough plates for 4-6 people, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Check-in is convenient, as they send the door code via email in advance. i We'll definitely stay here again for future Oxford visit. Some said 'park-n-ride' to Oxford. Personally we feel it's too troublesome. The parking can be expensive, e.g. near St John's it costs around 7 pounds to park 1 to 2 hours. But there're cheaper parkings around Oxford, which needs around 10 minutes walk to the center.

Just some minor issues: The bedding is comfortable. It would be great if the bed could be larger (e.g., 1.8m wide). The current size is acceptable for two adults but feels a bit crowded. The frying pan has quite a few scratches. Please ensure it is replaced regularly.

The apartment was comfortable and nicely decorated kitchen was equipped.

There is only one sofa so for 3 people there is not enough comfortable seating in the lounge. One or two arm chairs are necessary.
