The apt. was very nice and clean It was well located to see sites of interest

The bed was way too small for 2 people. There is room for at least a queen size bed; Getting the keys was a nightmare. Before arrival I had several discussions with the landlords about meeting at the apt to get keys. They refused and said we had to come to another site, several minutes away to get keys. I proved to them I had a receipt for payment that said the keys were in a lock box onsite. They said ti was a mistake. I had to come to get the keys. Before arriving by train in Madrid I called to arrange for keys. They said I had to go to a website, but I had no access to a website. I explained the situation and was told the keys would be ready for me. We arrived by taxi, which was waiting for us at the door, and was told again that I had to check in by a website, even though I was standing right in front of the desk in their office. Emiliano came out of his office and had someone get the keys from the lockbox, which was right in front of the desk. What a terrible way to get keys and be told , AFTER, you paid that the receipt that said a lock box was on site, was a mistake. Please understand that the apartment was very well located and very clean. I would certainly stay again , IF, someone would meet me at the door with keys !!!!

For personal reason I wasn’t able to go, it was too late to delete the booking and I was forced to pay the full price and even 40€ of cleaning fees, avoid this scammers.

This apartment probably has the best location in the Old Town. If you're looking to stick to the Old Town for your visit to Madrid, look no further. The host also made sure the place is cozy (and artsy) so guests would feel right at home!

When hospitality industry across literally the whole world trending toward seamless check-in experience (eg keyless/touchpad check-in), BnB Holder chooses to have guests pick up your keys all the way across the town, as if they WANT you to have a bad check-in experience. If you can't pay for a touchpad, pay someone to greet guests at the door for the key handover - as most non-standard hotels handle this. That is the least you can do, isn't it? Of course, it doesn't help when you're visiting during Christmas and it takes you 30+ minutes extra journey to navigate through the jam-packed city JUST TO GET THE KEYS. This place uses a cheap IKEA twin mattress which is almost impossible to comfortably fit two people (I'm 6'2, my partner is 5.3 so obviously we got nearly no sleeep). So host, please, invest in a real bed that actually does justice to the wonder of this apartment. You also get almost ZERO natural light (due to all windows facing a tiny, dim courtyard). That's the price to pay for all the peace you get from a central location, I suppose!

a perfect size for a couple with kitchen, living area, bedroom and bathroom. All the major attractions were within a 20 minutes walk and the Sol metro 5-7 minutes away.
