Convenient location to access restaurants and the old town. Parking lot near by was reasonably priced.

Many stairs to access the unit, last section was a steep spiral. Would be challenging for some. The external of the building is in poor condition which was concerningas we arrived. This did not affect our stay. Place very presentable and clean inside unit.

Flavia was a wonderful host and had great communication. We got upgraded to a bigger apartment (on Airbnb) for no extra charge so we were very grateful! It was located in the centre of Sassi in a cave apartment, with cool old cave compartments deep in the back and underneath (this was the kind of cave experience we were after in Matera).

The main issue was we shared a terrace with a restaurant so there was lots of noise until very late at night. The wifi only really worked in the kitchen and the bathroom was very small compared to the rest of the apartment so the shower was right on top of the toilet. But other than that the novelty of this apartment was pretty unreal.

A great location on the edge of The Sassi in Matera. The entrance is through an arch to a courtyard and up 3 flights of steps. Comfortable bed and all the amenities for a short stay. The roof terrace is accessed directly from the bedroom. Parking outside the property is at a cost (although not expensive)

The breakfast consisted of 2 packaged croissants and some twin packs of sliced bread.
